Be informed that all cruise lines will charge about $15 per day in gratuities which are shared with all staff members, not just the people you interact with like your cabin room steward. How about the staff cleaning the windows, the staff wiping down the buttons in elevators so you don't get norovirus, the staff you don't see taking away dishes from after you leave the buffet? For a group of 3 people on a 7-day cruise, the total amount of tips should have been $315 and you paid $30 to one individual? Be informed of the daily service charges before your cruise and make it a part of your budget. I've never removed the daily service charge and always give my cabin attendant extra. A better tip would be to take 30 one-dollar bills and spell out the words THANK YOU on your bed and don't remove the daily service charges. Very good video with great tips otherwise.
Yeah, I was shocked at this too. Most people who know that the gratuity can be removed also know why they should not remove it. Also, the crew is always so lovely and cabin stewards don’t need a tip to continue to do their jobs well.
@nickc7318 they seem to be shutting down for a few hours between meal times to be prepped for the next meal. Similar to Carnival not having pizzas available 24/7.
@@rgruenhaus really, what I'm getting at, is if I'm up till 4am, would you imagine there's something on the ship to eat. Or should I squirrel away some food in the room for middle of the night

@@rgruenhaus and thank you for the quick response, didn't mean to fire back without a thank you or seem rude.
@nickc7318 I thought I remembered that they were open till about 4 or 5am and then open again in about an hour for breakfast.
Only complaint was not enough pool, too small
Good video!
Thanks!
Never been anywhere on a cruise port where people won't take American money... no need to exchange in that case
Do we have to pay for observation lounge ?
no
Do they charge for the go carts?
Yes. I talk about it in the video
It’s $15 per race. That was year 2019.
Are those free ? Tell some free activities to do ?
There are many free things to do. I do talk about which is not free in the video.
@@SamsCube I am a first time cruiser, so can you suggest some free activities
That was a cheap tip! Geez. Just pay the amount they charge. It is my understanding NCL will NOT waive the gratuities. That is rude to even expect it.
