When Seventeen was writing the lyrics to "If You Leave Me" it was during COVID. They hadn't been able to see their fans or perform live for almost 2 years, and it was really hard for them. Hoshi said that when writing the lyrics they were thinking of Carats, as they were afraid Carats would forget about them and leave. Hoshi became so emotional he said he had to leave just to cry. He couldn't bear the thought of Carats "leaving" or forgetting them. So the song "If You Leave Me" is TO CARATS. It's not necessarily sad, as it's them telling Carats how it would break their hearts if they were ever without them. ♥
Omg 😭😭😭 really?!?!? That even melts my heart more!! Well hopefully now they know that Carats are sticking around and not going anywhere. The song is just so so so beautiful and heart wrenching at the same time. What beautiful souls they are!
