Checking my 2nd gen Kheshig, I've noticed something that might be a solution for our conundrum. The "non-contact" Sihas actually are touching the bowstring, especially after release. This transfers part of bowstring energy as vibration/noise/shock. In 3rd gen. Kheshig Armin found that Sihas profiles were changed. This could give the bowstring more room and make the Sihas truly "no contact". For 2nd gen. the solution might be using bowstring with longer "ears", or maybe gluing small pieces of foam or leather in the place of contact to act as a dampers. Peace Miki
Yeah… the sound is nicer than the previous version! 🥰 Alibow has changed the position on the homepage as well: the Imperial version is selectable in the ‘Premium Laminated Bow’ section now. Wish you much fun with the beautiful Keshig! Thank you so much for the comparison, dear Armin! ☺️🙏 PS: I have just checked: my TD version has the previous design Siyahs 😁
This bow series Kheshig, also his diligence and scrutiny is on point as every. I like him with these bows, it may not always be his favorite but it is one he loves.
Cheers from Canada , Armin. Still alive here in the frozen north. Things are still shut down here so shooting is difficult. Mostly backyard shooting which kinda sucks. Been busy with some writing gigs and on a time limit so I haven’t had much of a chance to see everyone’s videos. Catching up slowly. Great video as always.👍😎🇨🇦🥶🏹
I think it's that red paint that has captured your heart Armin.😁 New bow is a real pussycat.😻 Or maybe the lower poundage just feels better overall with the shoulders. Fun review, thank you.
Damn. I bought the old Kheshig based on your prior videos even though the "new" one was in stock when I ordered it. I wish I had seen this review a couple of months ago
Two all wood bows made from the same tree cut at the same time by the same bowyer made to the same dimensions can differ in draw weight and feel different when you shoot them. I had two Akosbow Tarims and three Turks that felt different. It happens. As mentioned, could be the strings too. Strings made from the same material, same strands, can feel different too. Different bows can feel different with the same brace height, the same with different brace heights...
I suspect the differences are 'underneath' so to speak - perhaps the various layers of glassfiber and wood (or bamboo) have slightly different thicknesses; or perhaps they're using a new type of fiberglass altogether.
Servus Armin, danke für das Video, dieser Bogen scheint ja dein Favorit zu sein, mal schauen vielleicht bringt ja der Osterhase einen. Schönen Sonntag noch, Gruß aus Bayern
Very interesting... I can even see the difference in the draw with regards to body mechanics. There's a very slight "catch" in the shoulder of the draw arm with the old Kheshig while the draw is noticeably smoother with the new. I wonder if I'm simply seeing the slight difference in draw weight or if the new Kheshig has a more linear draw profile? Either way, it's fun to analyze. Aside from sound, I would of never noticed a difference without this side by side comparison.
Armin, I appreciate your attempt to discover a difference, but unless these bows are finish shaped on a CNC Machine, there are going to be small differences in the dimensions that you highlighted. Sanding by hand or hand-held against a machine sander is going to create differences from bow to bow. I believe that if you bought two of the same bow at the same time, they would probably be somewhat different by a half millimeter or so in different locations. Also, as mentioned previously, different pieces of wood or bamboo will bend differently. You may be searching for a difference in feel that is not readily quantifiable with dimensional measurements.
of course one can see it like this. I shot before 5 different kheshigs in different poundages and yet this one is a different bow. I would not have spent time doing this video otherwise
So... Old one: convex ears, minimal less curved, quit loud, need time to get used to it. New one: fading ears, minimal more curved, more silent, more feedback. But we don't know how they did it 😭😭😭
Loving all the Kheshig videos, you know I'm a big fan of it as well. Great video as always. I don't remember if you mentioned it or not, but do you feel the newer version is easier to string? I ask bc maybe the changes are in small ways like easier stringer, a new upgraded glass, maybe they tinkered with the synthetic foam to make that better. Just guessing.
How long will the discount code be valid for? I’m hoping to be able to order my first bow and quiver from Alibow at some point within the next couple of months, but it might have to wait as long as until my birthday in May.

would have thought the same if I did not shoot 5 different kheshigs before in different poundages.

Nice comparison
halo tuan saya dri indonesia , menurut tuan antara nomad warrior dengan monarchy lebih unggul dan bagus yg mana
they are all good, I did some comparisons. Right now I would choose the KAYA Black K

Specs on the arrows for this kheshig bow please ?

if then not by much, at least I did not feel much of a difference
Arrow proof cat sneaked away! :P
So..
What the defferent??
I canot see the defferent when you not tell us..
😅😅😅😅
But,still love it with your videos..
Interesting. I'm curious what the string length is on both? Is it exactly the same?
I will measure
Could the curve be because it is just higher poundage.. takes more force to bend the arms... Limbs I mean
Maybe a comparison of the 'basic' Xongkoro and 'The Auspicious Ruyi' one?
Did not get that one….
Im a beginner at archery, would this be something i could buy now as a novice or should i become a bit more experienced?

should be valid, no worries :) enjoy
"best bow forever" hahaha. It is very beaufiful.
There is no elephant in my room.. I missed it if so
Both are great 👊🥰
It's probably the packaging that's new 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah.. bows should be noticably different if they are a decent lbs difference
I shot 5 kheshigs before in different poundages, not comparable
@@ArminHirmer wait... They were not comparable. Meaning they were definitely different?
@@strydyrhellzrydyr1345 otherwise I would not have made this video... I had already some bows in my hands to feel what they are doing
Buy red oak longbow
thanks for your statement, even unrelated
