Practice. It’s not going to be easy or like guitar will be mastered in a week. Keep motivating yourself and telling yourself you can do it instead of you cant. Ive been playing for 10 years and the first 2 were a headache but it comes as you go.
Thanks! Welcome to the guitar world newbie! Always happy to answer questions. Bar chords involve using a finger fully extended (think into the shape of a “bar”) to press the frets down on all 6 strings at once. Then you use the rest of the fingers to make the chord. Open chords are (usually) played on the first 4 frets of the guitar and involve open (unfretted) strings. Bar chords are a way to preserve the common shapes of open chords but transplant them higher on the neck for different musical colors. Bar chords are also harder to play technically, so as a beginner I would start with the open chord versions, then go play around with the bar chord shapes after you get that down!
Those are meant to be on the same line but it’s just a quick hammer-on and pull-off with the left hand. Many people leave it on the line but I like to put it above to show those aren’t essential notes. So to play that you’d hit the chord with 5th fret 1st string as the highest note, then hammer your pinky to the 8th fret 1st string super quickly then immediately pull it off so the 5th keeps ringing. It’s a way to sort of “ornament” the high note of the chord. Next time I do that I’ll just put the notes all on the line to avoid confusion; thanks for the heads up!
You’re talking about the x’s all together right? That’s a percussive sound. If it’s part of strumming you would just strum muted strings. If it’s part of fingerstyle you can just hit the strings with your right hand to make that percussive sound.
Spot on, every other tutorial does not outline the variations you have knowledge on plus the chord sounds on others are way off.
Yes! All my short tutorials try to give the basics plus some extra to have fun with it. Glad you like!
Excellent tutorial, direct to point showing chords variation and everything. 90 seconds just perfect.

Looks like a classic guitar
Yeah this is a nylon string guitar! I have all types but was using nylon for this video.
I’m new to guitar so in the finger style pattern why are the numbers going ABOVE the tabs line? How do I play that?
Same here xd
