I think you're bang on with the title. Brands look to better selling products when naming their fragrances to optimize their online exposure. Which is always temporary. I call it fad tagging, but it's essentially riding the tails of the most popular release - which may in fact be anticipated in advance.
Tried today in store initial thoughts were wow this is super sweet, synthetic sweet. Reminded my of Lucky, SWY Intensely and a little of Prive. That Lucky resemblance they vanishes quickly and all I get is sweetness. Disappointed as I was hoping it would be a lot better. I'll be giving this one a miss, glad I was able to test
@@dantalksscentsuk yeah another let down was performance. Found it to be just shy of 5 hours. For the price point and being parfum concentration very disappointing. A shame really as on paper with the additional notes along with 2 great perfumers behind it was hoping for a lot more.
Nice one Paul much appreciated. I think its a missed opportunity by paco rabanne. Should have built on prive with added leather, tobacco and performance. I'm not sure a fresher version was actually needed.
That was a bit of a disappointment Dan was expecting as you said something like Dior done with its Elixir richer darker and more mature I think I’ll stick with Lucky and Privé 👍🏻
100% mate stick with them two. I'm on the hunt for prive now. I was hoping this would be a thicker better performing prive. Might get perfume parlours version of prive in the mean time
So many reviewers mentioned the horrible performance which is a bummer as all of the 1 million flankers have always lasted a while on me, especially parfum.

I fully agree mate. The parfum smelt soo damn good...if I remember it was the perfumer quentin bisch spilt lotion in his satchel and it inspired him to create parfum with the smell.
@@dantalksscentsuk yeah his sun tan lotion mixed in with the leather. Such a good one and more than a generic flanker. Had high hopes for this given how different Suavage elixir was in a good way but I guess they just jumped on the hype with that one. Good honest review this.

I'm so disappointed with One Million Elixir, it's just like Armani Stronger With You Intensely, Azzaro Wanted by Night, Spicebomb Night Vision etc.. It's that typical headache inducing sweetness that dominates everything!! I don't even get the DNA from the original One Million or the 2 best flankers 'Intense & Absolutely Gold'.. where is the Blood Mandarin, the Cinnamon the leather!? Paco Rabanne should have released this as a new fragrance as it's nothing like any others from the line. This is just a lazy cash grab copying Dior with the Elixir moniker 😭

@@YukioNeo me too Yukio. I hate synthetic chemical bombs. I tend to go for niche nowadays but hoped as this was an Elixir it would be of a high standard.
So this is the third UA-camr that has said that this fragrance is underwhelming and doesn't deserve the name elixir and I believe every single one of these guys and I am really disappointed because I have all the flankers for 1 million and I was really looking forward to having this one in my collection but I really don't want to get something that I'm just not going to like and it just seems like this is not going to be the one for me

I'm disappointed too. I'd have called it 1 million eau fraiche or Summer. Performance is poor for an extrait in my opinion

No it isn't in the beginning maybe I would guess you must go nose blind because the dry down is amazing
