Honest Homemaking| Seasons of Struggle

In this weeks video I talk about the busy seasons in life- and how its okay to struggle in homemaking at times. These past several weeks have been really busy- I've also just pulled back from creating videos and focused in on connecting with others. Sometimes we need to unplug and reset- so that's what I have been up to. After-all, winter is suppose to be a time of rest and rejuvenation after the busyness and productivity of the warmer months.
This video is a bit different- but it's an honest look at life- and a reminder that sometimes we aren't always up to doing "all the things." I wanted to share that we don't have to live up to these high expectations we set on ourselves as homemakers and Moms- its okay if we have dishes in the sink- or laundry in the hamper. IF we are so hyper focused on all that needs done- we may lose sight of everything else that's beautiful about life. Watching a sunrise, sitting and reading a good book, watching our children play, painting a picture just because, or connecting over lunch with an old friend.
I love cooking and sharing recipes- gardening and sharing our farm life- but these videos do require work and time. I will continue to create videos and share recipes- but I'm not going to allow my "posting schedule" to dictate my personal life...I will do my best to get at least one video a week posted- hopefully I'll have time to do more- but if not, it'll just have to be that way.
At the end of the day I am still teaching my children at home, scrubbing toilets, tending to my children when they get sick, making time to spend with my family and friends, volunteering when and where I can, cooking my families meals- and many other things outside of the eyes of UA-cam...
Y'all have been such a blessing- with all of your kind words and sweet comments. Just know, if there hasn't been a video in a minute it's because I'm doing all the things I share through this channel- being a Mom- cleaning my home- cooking meals etc. And I haven't gone away- I'm just pausing and resetting :)
