As someone who has some experience/intermediate knowledge with 3d modelling and texturing I think I’m going to go with the second build as a reference point. This is perfect because I’m starting a large group project to try and make a game, and my laptop isn’t cutting it lol. But I think that build would be perfect for my workflow, and handling gaming ❤
My recommendation for those, who buy CPUs on AM5. You definitely have to undervolt it in BIOS. Otherwise, it will throttle at 95°C temp and you won't get even 5GHz. Surprisingly, after undervolting my R5 7600X keeps 5.5GHz at max and 5.1GHz idle.
Reveisitng the topic - I recently upgraded from a Ryzen 5600G to a 5800X and noticed up to a 30% improvement in rendering times for video editing so I can confirm indeed core counts matter (I can now see why pros typically aim for these savage Threadrippers & Epyc cpus !) . I initially aimed for the 5900X but had to settle for the 5800X due to supply issues. For Blender sculpting and 3D work, the difference was minimal, and gaming saw just about a 2% boost (& only in DeadSpace Remake btw so far!), so unless you're considering the 5800X3D (10% to 15%), upgrading purely for gaming its pointles - most Benchamrk report even with 5950x at most 3%! gain from 5600x."
Apologies for the fairly long comment, but I think this could be valuable for your video! Regarding GPUs and Substance Painter: I upgraded from a 3080 to a 3090RTX last year, and the 24GB of VRAM has been quite a game-changer, especially with 4K textures. My VRAM usage often hits 19/24GB, which is way smoother than when I had the 10GB 3080. I used to experience lag when switching between texture sets-probably due to constant VRAM and system RAM swaps. But the best part? If you're working between UE5 and Painter simultaneously, that 24GB is a godsend!
no need to apologize! every constructive comment is welcomed! and yes the more VRAM the better, the only reasion i didnt mention it on the mid build was due to the increased cost, but if you can invest in a 3090 or 4090, or even some of the quadros they are excellent options as well
@@AbeLeal3D If the RTX Titan still exist in the used market place.. & hopefully its cheaper than the 3080.. I think this could be a viable option too.. (the catch its 20-30% slower gpu wise!)
Don’t forget your thermal paste.. also- instead of opening new tab and typing the site name. Right click on any link on a site (I usually click the header as that’s often a link to their homepage) and ‘open in new tab’ so much faster. this was just a video to show the kind of components you need to go for, but im not building a new computer yet, maybe in the future when i do i can show the process
If you're a beginner, you don't need to bother about high end specs with liquid cooling and ryzen 9 with rtx 40s card. Just build a budget setup first and then you can always upgrade your components in the future.
i know its very similar in analyzing the components, but definetly you should do a video for laptops, and/or what is required for each software, as like Zbrush requires more ram than processor and for rendering is more processor than graphic card depending on the use....

I even had times where I would literally carry my PC case to universities to use it for teaching cause it was easier to work on it than on a laptop. @@AbeLeal3D completly I agree with choosing a PC/desktop over laptop everytime, but also sometime for space or budget laptop could be the only option for some people. Or even now some studios are doing laptops for hybrid wfh too....
750w is not enough, it is enough for what is on the list, but not for a more powerful graphics card that someone may want to buy in the future. The power supply is a part worth paying extra for, just like a well-ventilated housing. The reason is simple, well-selected ones work for a long time and when building the next computer, they are transferred to a new one and not bought again, so in the end it will be cheaper.
yep totally agree, as you say for the components in the video it will work but if you plan to upgrade or add more stuff then going bigger is definitely a good idea
Hey Abel, excellent video was actually looking for something like this mostly for my wife PC, she have a CPU i5 11400f, which I was thinking of changing but I really had no idea which would be better for blender or 3d rendering programs, this gives me an idea, but I am still a bit on the edge of going for a ryzen 7000 series cause i would need to change everything or a ryzen 5800x or 5700x to just change the MOBO and the CPU and keep everything else (32GB, 650W PSU and 2 tb M.2) what would you advice be about this?
3d cache processors for 3d ? ... I'm not so sure, they are great for gaming but they are worse for productivity than their non-3d counterparts, the only reason is that non-3d (like 7700x) has higher clock speeds than 3d ones (7800x3d) at a much lower price, I'm not sure for 3d but I think blender will benefit more from clock speeds rather than 3d cache, have you tested them ? I was thinking of getting a 3d for gaming and modeling but the lower clock speeds keeps me away from them
@@Whosever hey yes throughout the years I have had several ones to be honest at the scale of a single machine the difference is barely noticeable and since I like to game as well I usually go for the gaming processors However if you are thinking about only 3d work then yeah the higher clock speed can work better
Recently, I got an RTX 4070ti S and it's insanely good🤯 It breaks the myth that Blender can't handle over 40M polygons. Now it can😈 I was shocked how smooth this is! Zbrush steps aside for me even more😂
How do you deal with dust inside this PC? Most of people do not bother at all, so they have 1 kg of dust inside it. Do you clean it inside with vacuum cleaner?

But your advice , I have ( must ) to change the piece like the cpu , mem ram and mother board ?

Hello guys I need your suggestion in picking up a GPU so there's the rtx3060 with 12 gb vram and rtx 4060 with 8 gb vram which one should I go for , the prices are almost the same in my country
mmm good question, it depends if you are going to game more or not, i would personally try to get the 4060 super if possible, it might be slightly pricier but it shouldnt be too much and it will last longer than the 3060, but the rtx 3060 is not a bad option
no its is not bad, any strong gpu will be a good way to start, i just think that nvidia will give you more mileage in the long run due to its components
I worked with a GT-700 and 16 gb RAM for 11 years (sculpting and some Xgen personal proyects) and freelance even i could play fortnite until 2022 when they made a update and couldn't run it anymore., use what you have in a smart way, optimize your scenes, decimate the sculpts, reduce the render and sim samples.

Great tips thanks for this I recently change my gpu to rtx 4070. saving money now for a new processor to match up with the gpu. I have an old one now ryzen 2700x. I am not much into rgb i love to spend that extra money on good parts
Intel has stability problems and even rusts... Intel has been officially working on the problem for months but still hasn't solved it and probably won't solve it because the problem is in the hardware, not the software.
I have a AMD Ryzen 7 5800. Works pretty good with Maya, Blender and Zbrush. I was very tempted though to pickup a Ryzen 9 on Amazon prime days. They were like 40% but resisted the urges.
@@dimtodim yeah I don't recommend AMD for 3d stuff. Again a lot of softwares are optimized for Nvidia cards so I think it is better to get one of those

Don't get the -X3D versions of the chips.... they are for games. X or non-X are for the creative apps.

Will the budget build allow you to do some heavy rendering more quickly?
you can do render but it probably wont be super quick, if you use GPU and denoiser you can make some fast renders

I was hoping that the professional build wouldn't be $2k. great video, i learned a lot! But seems what I want is in the middle of the first two.

yeah once you want to change the cpu, you probably will need to change motherboard and ram as well.
