I received these bulbs but my vendor didn't know you needed the white remote to pair the bulbs with the app. I would suggest shipping these bulbs with a white remote if possible as it eliminates this need to think about ordering the remote separately. I only came across this video after receiving the bulbs and not being able to pair them. I have now ordered the white remote but wish I had known this sooner.
Hi Greg, thank you for your comment! We appreciate your suggestion. LunaBulb is designed with sustainability in mind. It's part of a larger ecosystem, offering a specific solution for pairing bulbs. Unlike our Astera NYX Bulb, which has a hardware button for pairing, LunaBulb doesn't have space for this due to user requirements. To address this, we introduced the PrepCase and PrepInlay. While we considered including a WhiteRemote with every LunaBulb, this would lead to unnecessary waste. PrepCase and PrepInlay are more sustainable and flexible options for managing multiple LunaBulbs. Many Astera users already own WhiteRemotes for other products. Since LunaBulb works similarly, a single WhiteRemote can pair hundreds of LunaBulbs. Therefore, we've decided to ship WhiteRemotes only upon request, reducing environmental impact. What is the non-LED bulb equivalent at max brightness? 25w? 60w? Is it larger than the NYX bulb? Thank you in advance. Google searches have not been displaying this information.
Hello! The LunaBulb is designed to be used in studios or on location, using AC-wired bulb sockets - the multiple users who participated in the development preferred to have a bulb that looks exactly like a bulb with an output equivalent to a 25W tungsten bulb, instead of reducing the output or increasing the size to make it battery-driven. However, it could also be operated at 48VDC, provided that you have a battery and a way to connect it to the bulb socket. The PrepCase and the PrepInlay for LunaBulb are battery-operated, facilitating the setup of LunaBulb when AC is not available.
Cool it’s water proof, but how often do use a bulb in the rain? Feel like this is super niche situation. For the price point rather stick with the other brands.
In case the Rain comes and LunaBulb is in a matching IP44 Socket you are safe, but there are more features what LunaBulb brings to the table like: - Flawless Skin Tones thanks to our TITAN LED Engine (RGBMA) - Always Total Control through built-in CRMX and Bluetooth - No need of hiding, LunaBulb looks like a traditional Bulb while offering you the possibilities of a professional luminaire - From Classic to Slim Look, with LunaBulb you are just a click away from making it even more compact going from Classic to Slim look in just a split second! - LunaBulb delivers, wether there is Sunshine or Rain, thanks to IP44 rating (socket needs to have IP44 Rating as well) - Lightweight, while bringing so much to the table LunaBulb weights in at about 85g

Looks good, so if you don’t have a prep box you’ll need that white remote to pair them with the app/setup for Crmx
Yes
Do they work with the Astera Box?
@@benugdsen75 Hi Ben, if you refer to our ART7, of course the LunaBulbs work with them!

Hi Aaron, so here is a info that will help you, the Tungsten equivalent of LunaBulb is 25W and the one for NYX is 60W
Looks great! Nice work guys! 🍾
Thank you, we can't wait to see what mood you will shape with LunaBulb!
Can I program NYX bulbs with the LunaBulb programming station, as well?
Hi Aaron, no, the NYX Bulbs are not programmable with the LunaBulb PrepCase.
@@AsteraOfficial That's a shame. Would a socket extender (sold separately) adapt the case into being used in such a way?
@@aaronw.bennett6776 In Short, no. The NYX bulbs are not compatible at all with the PrepInlay.
Everything is better than the previous version EXCEPT it loses the old power station battery option ? :(
What if I need to use these on location ?
It can still be connected to the app, so set it up that way, or do you mean you want the option to power it?

Yes you can also connect them to the AsteraApp and set it up this way!
