These things are tricky.. And if you fix without the clips...That's a real bonus. No videos out there tell you how to install the clips properly. Had a problem with Heku. Arrived in a fridge sized box and amazingly snapped! Think the DPD guy got the hump at me diverting the order cos I wasn't in! ;p
Did you make sure to leave the windows shut for at least 24 hours. Ideally more to sort of mould the window rubber. Maybe put a little washing up liquid in the window gap
Thanks for the vid fitted these to my polo 6r today. 5 door so have fitted rears. Do you usually need clips for the rears? Obviously the fronts are secured in because they are angled into place. Any tips for fitting the clips as well as i tried snd they kept popping out 😂

Did you do the slow up and down with the glass? Then once closed was it left for at least 24 hours? Then after this due to the reduced gap for the window to go in, you have to still take it easy closing the window. This improved over time and ideally warmer conditions. Something I did to help open and close the window was to open the window fully, get a thin wrag, get a flat head screwdriver, spray the wrag with WD40, the dig the flathead with the wrag into the groove where the glass goes in and run this all along it. This helps clean the channel and also adds lubrication. Since doing this mine has been fine

have you cleaned the channel that the glass sits in with a wrag and WD40, use a flat head screwdriver to get right in the gap. Also you need to edge the glass a little at a time. Go up a little then down a little, then up, then down then up until it's closed. Then leave it shut for at least 24 hours. Ideally in warmer weather. All that should help
Did you use the clips.. I was crazy tired and didn't line up the left window up after getting my tints got heko.. my tint got a tiny graze.. probs needs a hairdryer treatment!
@@DriveWithAndy yeah it's that last bit, just feels like it's being wedged in stress on the motor etc.. the clips on one side and see how it goes. To be honest it's an aftermarket product they always have a flaw.. as those don't come standard on a lot of vehicles

Watch the channel your slitting it into as I have had that before. Trickery as can see a few channels or what looks like one. Lift the glass up a little and see which channel the glass goes in then put the deflector in the next channel on the outside
@@phipper16 newer cars have detection where if there is resistance it wownt shut. Have you tried getting a flat head screwdriver with a cloth soaked in wd40 and run it through the window gutter? Also you have to make sure to let the windows up slowly but by bit at first then once shut keep them shut for at least 24-48 hours

I would contact them as doesn't sound right. Mine have been in since this video and not budged. I didn't even need the clips as for me that could cause damage and make it hard to remove them
I have had these for Christmas for my Fiat pinto but they don’t go all the way to the end of the door there is a gap at the back between the end of the visor and the end of the door is this normal? I know my doors are quite long and I have the 3 door. My mum is convinced she bought the right ones however the box came with the smaller back window ones but I don’t have back doors. Are these just universal between the puntos?

hi there after fitting my wind deflectors i found that the next day after fitting them that when i lowered the window then tried to close it that the window got to within 1"from closing it again that the window went back down again aany ideas on how to sort this out please
They will be stiff for a while. A good trick to help is get a flat head screwdriver and a wrag, wet the wrag in some WD40 and run it through the channel of the window where the glass goes. It will both clean the channel and help the glass slot in easier whilst the gap adjusts

I have to admit I have not looked closely at it. It is very subtle. I would have to go see it closely but I guess if really wanted it gone it may be possible to sand it using grades of paper and then polish the plastic

@@zainiqbal5417 so it's not a sticker. But it's subtle, more grey in the black and feels like if I got some sand paper and worked way to 2000-3000 grit you could just lightly sand it off and then polish it off. May even do this myself

Got the Edge ones for my BMW X5 F15 and attempted to put them on. As the window went up it got slow and pulled back down (to say something was in the way) but now my window goes up and down but only does it after a fair few attempts. What has happened? It’s frustrating that I haven’t got them up yet neither as I had to remove the deflector due to this issue. Help.

Hi Andy, I had a problem with my electric windows whilst installing. When I wound my windows up it become stuck by the anti tramp mechanism and also, when I shut the window completely it refused to open again until about 10-20 attempts! Please can you tell me how to get around this?

@@harrybaxter9458 you need to help it up by hand whilst holing down the switch. Leave it for a good 48 hours. Then when you out the window down for the first time, get some WD40 and a flat head screwdriver with a tissue/thin towel/rag and run it all through the window lip to both clean it and lubricate it. After a while the windows work fine
@@harrybaxter9458 so yeh press and push the window up by hand to help it. It will struggle as the gap has been reduced. The gap gets bigger with time as the rubber seal will press into a new form

Hi. Yeh I didn't use the clips as felt dodgy to put a metal clip against the glass. I can say I have no issues at all with mine. Never come off or anything. Did take a while till the windows eased up as we're hard to close for a while. Thanks and no I wouldn't declare wind deflectors on insurance just in the same way I would not declare a phone holder inside the car 😊
My front windows react to them fitted by coming back down half way as per safety soft close if I don’t hold the button. 😢

Is that ‘edge’ logo removable? Is it just a sticker so I can remove it using adhesive remover? Or is it burned on like TeamHeko deflectors

Mines are a tad short and the none existent sticky tape 😂 off to hobby craft, use my brain cell and snug them in, the clips were useless also lol
