You are one of the only crochet business videos that I have seen hit every mark for your business. Time cost, material cost, AND a markup. People this is how you build a successful and sustainable business!! Thank you so much for a great video!
Awh thank you so much for your kind words! I do my best to share as much as I can with everyone so we can all be successful! I’m so happy you liked the video ❤🥰
love these videos! They are great instó for crochet. Ideas that I hadn’t thought of! Th stingray was so adorable! I want to make it but add like whipped cream anda cherry and make ice cream versions. As always thanks for the lovely video!!❤
I don't do markets right now and I don't follow other people's patterns that often but this series is still super fun to watch! (Also hello from a fellow crochet UA-camr!)
Idk how I stumbled across your channel but I absolutely love it! Thank you for breaking everything down and just making learning about markets enjoyable!
Wow you are fast!! I can't add any mark up to my items because they would be too expensive 😂 i think ny tension is so tight that it's keeping me from being faster but i've learnt to accept it since I'm happy with the final results 🤗 Btw those gummy worms are so cute!!
Well as long as you are happy and still enjoying it thats all that matters!🥰 But true about the tension, that could be why! I have never tried a gummy bear pattern, I know alot of people rave about them! I saw this one, I feel like the bear was the cutest, but I would just switch my hook & yarn for chenille yarn if it was me! Let me know if you try to make one!! www.pinterest.com/pin/1900024837213197/
Hi!! Just subscribed to your channel!! Thx for sharing, ive been racking my brain on what to charge on some of my items😮 just made my first yip yip, car hanger size. Took over an hour or so for me to make, i did add a pipe cleaner for his antenna lol, so adorable ❤
Hi! Thank you so much for subscribing and welcome!! ❤Im so glad some of my information was helpful for you! Yay for you making your first yip yip!! Im sure he is absolutely adorable!!!
Oh babe. The yipyip is timeless. Theyre an reference to characters from sesame street from like 70/80s. Those will always have a (especially moms like mine) giggling
This is very helpful for figuring out price per hour and how much yarn used thank you! Curious about the markup though after you’ve already factored in how much it costs per hour and materials?
Youre so welcome! Im glad it was helpful! The markup is important (for me) to cover things like booth fee, bag fee, etc and then to make a small amount of profit per item so instead of just breaking even on an item in terms of time and material its nice if you can make a little extra that you can put towards keeping your business growing!
Hi there! Im so sorry , I fixed all the links now. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. Here is the video I used for him ua-cam.com/video/QLdaii36wyk/v-deo.html 🧡
How do you finish the back of the earrings? In the video tutorial you posted she just ties it. I’m curious if the back looks good as well. I have a bunch of earring findings and I need a pair for myself! Yours are adorable! 💜
Yes Im sorry I never found a video on attaching the earrings! I will make a short video to show you how I did it , I think they look good from the back as well because that was also a huge concern for me too! Thank you for the input 🥰
Baby cow by HHDesigns4 ,i actually bought this pattern already, and i don't know how i feel about it when I'm making it (I have made it 2 times) I swear I'll never make it again but then time passes and i do it again😅 I just love the outcome but I'm pretty miserable when I'm making it.
Oh nooo! lol I have had plenty of patterns that thats happened to me to in. Im so sorry , Im sure if you keep at it eventually it'll click for you! lol
While I feel that I produce very good quality amigurumi, I always take my time and think I am quite slow- so I can never charge for my time because it would ridiculously overpriced😂 I just give mine to family and friends as gifts...
Hey friend you do you! Whatever makes you happy, as long as you enjoy making them and are proud of what you produce. I’m happy for you🥰 I do absolutely understand this though because sometimes I too just want to work slow and when I’m not in market prepping mode I try to relax and remind myself it’s not a race ❤️
If you give yourself an hourly rate and then base your price for the yarn as the full price even if you've got it for cheaper, then why still do a mark up?
My mark up helps to cover other business expenses such as bags, booth fee, business cards, etc. It is an optional markup but for me to make a profit I do need to charge more to help cover those things.
To find out how much yarn you use weigh the skein before you start your project and then weigh the skein after you finish that color. Subtract.
Yes! This is another great way to do it

I would love to see the video on attaching the earring findings.
Coming soon!🥰
ua-cam.com/video/cyf6ZW8KLH0/v-deo.html just posted a video tutorial if you're interested!
The pattern usually calls for the grams of yarn used and you can minus that from the end weight and then you have your cost for poly too 😊
Yes! That is true thats a great way to calculate the polyfil cost if the pattern youre using tells you how many grams of yarn you'll need!
I love this video idea and hope you will make more! 💗
Thank you sooo much! This makes me so happy. I do plan on making this a series here on my channel 💓

They are so funny. I didn’t realize till this video they were from Sesame Street but I do also giggle every time I see them as well! 🥰
@@BlondieKnots definitely look it up! It is an earworm song hahaha! But it always gives me some serotonin 🤣🥰
@@knitwitchpghlove it! 😂Will do! lol
A shortcut for figuring out price after 30% markup is to multiply by 1.30. 27.50 x 1.30 = 35.75.
Thank you for sharing!
This is the best explanation I've heard. SO helpful!! Thank you :)
Thank you so much!! I’m so glad it was helpful! Stick around, more like this to come🫶🏻🥰
