Just discovered this channel and wow, very accurate info on Lilo. Usually videos and books do not mention that Tresca may have been murdered under orders of Garofalo because Tresca embarrassed him. Little details like Galante having a life long love of flowers and plants, from tending to them in prison, is also not regularly reported. Great work, looking forward to checking your library and any new videos.
Thank you, I was able to find some good sources for this video. I really appreciate your feedback. I have recently gotten a new PC and Adobe creative suite which I will begin utilizing at the conclusion of this series which should hopefully improve production value. I felt like I should finish my last two volumes(#1 and mistakes, omissions and honorable mentions) of the series like I started to keep the feel the same. I hope to continue to improve and I really appreciate you and everyone else who takes the time to watch and comment. Thanks again!
That is a huge compliment. Narrating is has taken a lot of practice for me. When I started, I was recording 5-10 sec clips because I made so many mistakes. Now I am able to record in 30-60 second clips which speeds up the process. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
I think it’s important to note that Galante was an acting boss when Rastelli went away to prison in 76- tho he obviously viewed the position permanent. Massino would later testify that it was Galante who made him into the family and was at that time boss of the Bonnano’s.
@@philb.1502 he was also the undisputed acting boss on the streets. He wouldn’t have carried on for 5 years running one of the biggest drug trafficking networks ever if he wasn’t a legitimate boss. I don’t give a fuck how feared he is. That rule doesn’t go unanswered for that long if he genuinely broke it
Fact: The Mitsubishi "GALANT" was named after him due to the fact that they last long and as soon as you think they're done they come back same as strong as before.
In hindsight, he probably should’ve been. I wanted to do a mistakes, omissions and (dis)honorable mentions volume where I would explain why I omitted certain people(Kulklinski, Workman ect.), list the mobsters that almost made the list(Macintosh, Carniglia, Capone, Persico, S. Franseze, Gigante) and mobsters that I overlooked that should have defiantly been on it (LaPietra, Accardo, McGurn, Yale, Genovese). I tried to do the best I could. Genovese and Joe Batters were obvious mistakes. I guess at the time I made the list and the outlines, my focus was on making sure the mobsters less well known were represented(Johnny Earle, Skinny Razor, Charlie “Moose” Panerella ect.). If I do get around to this “bonus” volume, Genovese will definitely be included. If I had to do it over again knowing how positively it was received id have done a top 50.
Lilos undoing was bringing the zips as mercenaries he thought we’re on his side. The act offended his American gangster peers and the zips were loyal only to money and power. But without the zips tho lilo wouldn’t have been able to have enough firepower to make his famous grab for complete. power.
People misunderstand what IQ scores mean. Normal intelligence, comprising 68% of the population, is defined as IQ scores between 90 and 109. Average IQ is 100. Galente may have been on the low end of normal, and below average, but he was still of normal intelligence. Intellectual disability is 69 or less.
Thank you for the clarification. You don’t get to the level he rose to by being stupid. I think the important thing to take from those tests were his lack of emotion and empathy.
This is a great series you put together here. Cheers
Thank you 🙏
Keep up the good work. These videos are part of American history and very important . The details in your videos are rarely covered .
Thank you for watching!
Well put together sir. Good narration. Sakute.🙌

Galante was the undisputed boss in his mind.. Nobody dared tell him differently.

great work as usual!
Good stuff. CG is one of my favorites. Gangster 2 the bone!!
I read the Gambino underboss finally got payback reached out to Bonaventure and Amato and got Lilo hit Dellacroce was the ultimate decision maker.
Excellent again.

Mad Hatter no. 1
I've been waiting for this since you started the 30 💪.
Carmine could kill you with his fists, gun or his drugs. Top Dog
I can’t find the episode where they tell us who #1 is!!
The final volume will be released on the weekend.
Ralph Salerno did say them exact words about lilo and delacroche
is genovese not in the top 30?

Anastasia’s gotta be one
I mean with the name “The Lord High Executioner” I would hope so

Who is number 1
That let you know people say anything they hear Massino wasn't nothin back then .
Lord high executioner as #1 😉
Gotta be.
@@sajjbrown2357 I just hope to God it’s not Al Capone, that would be a big disappointment
Of course you know it is

He spoke Italian, Spanish, French, and obviously English. That certainly not a simp.
Plus I highly doubt someone is motivated to do good on a test while in jail 😂
This guy played dumb as a kid and fooled the whole system untl his death!
Mad hatter has to be #1
👍
I thought Carlos Marcello and Sam Giacanna, would make the list.
I'm surprised Santo Traffacante, didn't make the list.
THANK YOU SIR🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for watching!
