Hi Dzan Ta, thank you for your clear introduction of Face-Based models. I am attempting to create a void extrusion hole across my face-based family, and intend the extrusion depth to automatically adapt to the face (wall/floor) thickness. I have successfully done this through wall-based and floor-based models by dimensioning the host wall and applying "reporting parameters". However, I am stuck at the dimensioning step for face-based model. Do you know how I can create a reporting parameter of the face thickness from the host?
Try locking the face of the void extrusion to a reference plane that is aligned and locked to the host face. Then, create a parameter to control this distance. It may allow you to set it as a reporting parameter.
You already have a generic model.rft file included in Revit...just start a new Revit family and choose generic model.rft to start a new family creation
Thank you very much, sir wonderful content

You're welcome
Can yoy please tell me how to download generic model

but how can we change elevation- that's not working
you can add a height parameter to the family before loading it into the project to use.
