Eq6 is a massive mount compared to this. If you want something mobile friendly, get this. If it doesn’t matter, then choose what will compliment your setup most

Can the ZWO AM5N be controlled by other imaging software like NINA or Stellermate? Or can it only be contolled by the ASIair?

Yes, you can NINA and other software. Same for the focuser or the filter wheels😊
But the ZWO's cameras only work with the ASI Air

The UMI 17 is AU$1000 cheaper and uses more or less the same components why fork out extra for the ZWO version?
I will still prefer avx or Eq6 pro. Pair it with a good ED 80-102 mm and get zwo Cam with asiair. With Zwo guidescope, it does the job perfectly.
