The jailor wanted him to be as close to his daughter as possible for eternity, maybe hoping he could feel her or something, that is not twisted, but a kindness.
8:13 It also interesting how what Terry said about Aaravos applies to what we learned about Viren this season. What started out as a story of love became twisted into something evil along the way.
“I *swallowed* her” The massive statues of Aaravos and Merciful One at the Sea of the Cast Out. The season 4 poster of a giant Aaravos holding strings connected to Callum, Claudia, and Viren. The opening with Aaravos picking up the characters. When Aaravos’ tears “created” the sea of the cast out, where Leola crashed. When the group first got Aaravos’ prison, you can actually see a massive rip cage surrounding the clam that held it, which fans believe was a giant corpse, which is likely Leola’s 😱 The forshadowing was always there, and we never picked up on it because it was so well hidden 😂😂😂
According to SDCC the 7th season is called "Dark". But they also showed we could get another arc or a "phase 3" which would consist with 3 more seasons. But Netflix hasn't green light those seasons yet.
@sms2131 true but do we actually know that Janai heard him say that when he whispered into her sister's ear? Back when it happened, she was like 3 stories and at least 100 meters away down
Fun Fact: Leola was voiced by Jason Simpson’a (Viren’s voice actor) real life daughter 4:19 And that Star elf was voiced by Aaron Ehasz, one of the creators of the show.
The Aaravos even offered his own life, but the Star Elves, the Great Old Ones, deny it, and took the life of Leola, his daughter. The only mercy would be to die with his child. But I ask; what true father would allow his daughter's murderers to escape with impunity? The Star Elves have signed his sentence! Aaravos may be acquitted of his crimes, but neither can the others, for they murdered an innocent girl.
Star Elf Society does not feel or think in mortal ways, they never really did, Leola was an anomaly, and being that, she kind of influenced her own father as well. While you blame the Star Elves, you fail to understand their society and only take mortal society for granted.
While Aaravos’s backstory does make him quite sympathetic(and justifies his hatred of Sol Regem and many of the other elves), it doesn’t excuse the millennia’s worth of pain and suffering he’s inflicted on the people of Xadia, human, elf, and dragon alike, all to satisfy his revenge. Poor Leola deserved better though, and part of me hopes those Startouch Elves are given every ounce of bad karma they are owed.
10:42 I think Aaravos and other Startouch elves can alter certain parts of their physical form and he just chose to appear as a giant to look more intimidating.
I think it’s the other way around. They choose to appear _small,_ for the sake of humans and the other species of elves, but in truth, they’re naturally massive in size (hence the sea being made of his tears, that giant ribcage, the pearl being the size of a basketball, etc.).
The moment you realize Runaan has been in ‘corruption by doubt and guilt’ mode for two to three years (dragon prince) time…when he gets his tearfully happy passionate makeout reunion with Ethari…he needs to go to Elf Therapy! Regardless of how time works in the coin or not what he went through in the dungeon and within that coin deserves Therapy! Same with Ethari! He has depression I saw that clearly since he ghosted Rayla in season three episode three, and drowning his grief over work ain’t even close to being a healthy coping mechanism!
Immediately clicked. Leola’s story was so sad 😭 I sobbed 3 times. And I rarely cry when I watch stuff. “For 100 years I wept. My tears filled the crater and it became the sea of the castout” 😳 that was amazing. My jaw was on the floor. And the fact that they put his prison in his tears and inside his daughters bones omg (which we saw in 5x9) Also I love how they made the Aaravos set free scene. He gasps because he’s so shocked that he’s actually out. And when his hand goes upward I love the sound effect, it conveys so much power and massiveness and then we see how big Aaravos is compared to Claudia and Terry 😳 And I was so happy that Runaan was released 🙂 I’m so curious how the interaction will go next season between him and Callum and Ezran.
If it makes you feel any better, literally only one/two people knew where Aaravos' prison was - so it was just a tragic coincidence, not intentional brutality!
“For 100 years I wept. My tears filled the crater and it became the sea of the castout” I think I still think about this line every other day, so much of this season has had such an impact
The Jailer is actually pretty twisted, since she chose to place Aaravos’ prison in the exact place his daughter’s body crashed to earth.
I Don't Think She Was Told That Leola's Death Created The Giant Hole That Aaravos' Tears Filled.

It's a neat detail that Callum didn't have any issue with performing the spell since he was already acting out of love.

Haha Aaravos really wasn't kidding when he said "I swallowed her" to Janai and her sister about the former Sunfire elf queen! Dude's massive!
Is that what he said? How do we know that? Not doubting you, just curious
@@MasterWoolfer iirc he says it to Janai in her dreams when she took her sisters place on top of the tower

I definitely didn't think we were supposed to take Aaravos picking up the other characters in he intro quite so literally
JUSTICE FOR LEOLA!

Maybe our "not so Little Bug Pal anymore" will create a better society? Wouldn't it be worth all the pain?

Since I see you finished s6, I woke up to seeing the release for s7 being on December 19th, there is also a release date announcement trailer

IM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE REUNION WITH ETHARI!
