I was never interested in Zentangle until I saw your combinations of Zentangle and watercolour (in Sketchbook Revival). I was awed by the artistry and the possibilities. I tried a few small projects and was very happy with them. By now I've checked out several Zentangle artists on UA-cam and so far I think your work is the best.

I got interested in Zentangle when I saw your article in Creative Calligraphy magazine and have been following you ever since. I started with your free tutorials and then branched out to some of the other items you offer. I have also tackled projects from other Zentangle artists but you are hands down, the best. I like how you take projects from beginning to end, whereas many other teachers just show you how to do the tangle and because I am still a beginner, I'm left wondering what to do next. You show us how to shade and highlight and make a tangle come to life. I am still a beginner but everything I tackle from you becomes a work of art. I enjoyed following you for this Inktober challenge and have learned a lot about this art through this. Thank you!

You are definitely an inspiration! I found out about Zentangle by discovering you and your beautiful work on Instagram. I'd been looking for something "simple" and quick to get my mind off some personal struggles, and just loved this so much I decided to buy some supplies and give it a try. Watching you do this amazing piece over the past couple of weeks and listening to your gentle wisdom about letting yourself enjoy the process while letting go of expectations was wonderful for my state of mind. I've also been working through your 100 days tangles as practice, and I'm enjoying it very much. You've given me a means of coping with a difficult situation, and I am truly grateful. Anica…the best part of the challenge was that I finished it. While some parts of my design are not what I wished them to turn out like….it is a cohesive design and I can be proud of the fact that I kept at it every day. Thank you for sharing your time with us as you went through this journey. I love that you showed us how you are using the newer to you tangles in your every day practice. I didn’t have time for that during the challenge so maybe that is a next step for me. There are some tangles that I probably won’t use (narfello hearts casinoda) but there are some tangles that I would have thought I would never use and after giving them a try, they will probably make it into my every day practice. (Zander, ambler, veerap, gilgo, bugz). Thank you for all your encouragement along the way.
