Inspectah was a problem. It's beyond tragic his original album was lost to a flood in rza basement and he was forced to put out some rushed mashed up shit.
And then deal with a lackluster career following that original lost classic. But in saying that, I bought Uncontrolled Substance, The Resident Patient, Chamber No. 9, and half of the Czarface projects. Wasn't feelin no Housegang.
Really wish we would've at least got to hear "Not Ya Average Flow". The way some of the Wu referenced it, like on "M.E.T.H.O.D. Man" off 1993's 36 Chambers, suggests it was written or recorded early around 93 or so, that's 3 years before his original scheduled debut release in 1996. I'm really surprised RZA and Loud Records didn't have it ready to go and put it out as the first single yet as intended. I understand the album was lost, but Loud didn't at least have the audio of the single which had been sitting in that basement for 3 years? We should at least have that on the books. But who knows what was going on with Steve Rifkind at the time and managing everyone else's solo careers through the different labels. Deck's debut story is infamous.

On top of his energy and skills on the mic, he's a scholar and a gentleman.

They are the greatest... just look how much success they have made. Look how active they have been. They still active now. Most groups fall off after a while. They still doing shit be it outside of the music industry or in it. Even if indivually they still represent the Wu.
Bone thugs and harmony, still making music, more hits, more influential. No disrespect to the Wu, but they ain't the greatest. bone takes that title. I might be a fan boy but facts are facts.
@@calest6251 you are entitled to your opinion. Everyone has their own "Greatest" im not gonna hate or argue who is or isn't. I wasn't too much into bone thugs. Wasn't feeling their music.
Yeah and they might still be doing stuff individually, but they fell out as a group after Wu-Tang Forever. RZA tried to keep the ship afloat. But they all came to him to get out of their Wu-Tang Productions contracts under RZA, Divine and Power. Which folded up everything RZA had started with them. They all wanted control of their money understandably, but failed to see the unity in what RZA had created with that. Look what happened after. They all went 100% into solo careers with less and less RZA beats, for The W they asked RZA to focus on making 36 Chambers sequel beats and to scale back his rapping on the album, RZA quickly rushed out a 4th Clan album following The W and meshed all his sounds together on those beats, which got mixed reviews, and a few years later RZA sold all his beats left and transitioned to the film industry and retired from music. RZA may have set it up where he made the most money with his brother, but the Clan brushed him off after getting released from their contracts, and they weren't focused on the group anymore. All that infighting in the 2000s meant no more Clan albums. Then everyone was suing RZA. The took Cappadonna off Iron Flag after inducting him into the Clan officially on The W prior. Even erased him from the cover art. Because Cap had to sue RZA to get his owed royalties. For some reason RZA wouldn't give nobody their checks. Stuff they avoid talking about but this all happened. Then when RZA got everybody back to do 8 Diagrams it was alot of backlash against RZA from the Clan members. Then with A Better Tomorrow Rae and Ghost aint even want to do it because of the 8 Diagrams bs. Raekwon held it up the longest and RZA had to pay him out of his own pocket to get him on it finally. Then in 2016 RZA handed the reigns of the 7th Clan album to Ghostface and hes been sitting on that ever since, with no word on its release after recording everybody on there already with beats by JUSTICE League and the like. Masta has talked about that Ghost-led Clan album. And we are just waiting for years as fans. Along with other albums of his that he is just not releasing like Blue & Cream, Wu-Block 2. So they may still be doing stuff, but they don't walk the same path together and haven't since they left RZA's Wu-Tang Productions. Watch Of Mics and Men, RZA explains how that hurt him.
Wu Tang is 9 MC's deep, everyone onstage and everyone know each other's shit. Not to mention they been together since 93 and still rock together with no beef. That's unheard of
