They're desperate for clicks, and because of people like them some people think she's always being negative. And even when she once talked about her general reception because of such clips not not long ago, you know what some clippers did? Make clickbait thumbnails about that moment too. Scum.
She's by far the easiest to drama bait with because she has critisized hololive before. And as to why drama bait it is for views like with all bait.
There's nothing drama about her comments. She even pointed out that using the word freedom is a bit strong.

The problem with clippers like these is that they are very quick to rely on the "verbatim" defense, where just because the talent did actually say the thing means that it can be used whatever and however they want on a thumbnail, including giving the chosen excerpt a completely different first impression and context from what the subject is actually saying. This clipper clearly knows how to make a neutral sounding title, but then they let their thumbnail basically answer their title's unspoken question, leading to the thumbnail becoming complete dramabait.

Yeah there's trade-offs with everything, Vshojo has freedom but their lack of cleanliness causes limitation on brand deals, and also as she brought up later in the video they can't do as many of the gargantuan events that holo can do,
And the philosophies of the two of them are completely different one is basically an open door policy you get to come and live with everything you bring and the other is mainly them making something for you and them giving you an avenue to make a lot of money and peace of mind as long as you play within the certain rules that they have to have.
even the freedom with games and music in VShojo is a risk, the fact is companies COULD go after them. I hope they never do, but it could happen.
There's also the fact that VShojo is practically an exclusive invite-only club of members, where if you weren't already packing big numbers or already decently popular, or personally know one or more of the existing members then you're likely not getting in ever. You're not going to get situations like Kobo or Bijou who were unknown and/or small time personalities that suddenly got their shot at becoming known upon joining Hololive.

I'm not quite sure what you're talking about, in terms of cons, they've been to AX, Offkai, otakacon, and other major conventions, as for something like Holofes, let me ask, when Hololive was just Sora, was Holofes a thing back then? or did it start once they had enough people to do something like that? Keep in mind VShojo may seem like a big company, they are still only about 3 years old as a company (4 years old in November) now how many years old is Hololive and Niji? Not their en branches but they're JP branches? Probably doubled if not more I bet. As long as VShojo stays creators first I could see them eventually having something like a VShojofes one day.

Because twitch had less issue with copyrights
They had some pretty major ones in 2020iirc but solved it by basically just muting vods and any "deleted" vod or clip would just not count as a strike if it got hit.
Frankly an incredibly clunky solution that only works as long as companies don't start doing live dmca takedown requests.
Context for the "deleted" note: They might have changed since with new leadership but last I heard EVERY stream and clip since at least 2014 is still technically public just hidden within the API. If you have the correct link (not the normal url but the one used on the backend basically), you can even watch an entire vod from a creator that deleted the vod themselves then got permanently banned.

Afaik a lot of the reasons for Hololive's restrictions are directly tied to (experiences with) Japan's Legal System, which for example for Vshojo, as they are afaik legally operating from the USA, is not of as much concern as for Cover Corp, a japanese company.

A lot of people know that Kiara watches other streamers and clips when she has the time. There was even a clip about her accidentally chatting on her main. Kiara's very supportive and encouraging of others (kind of a mother hen, if you will) so I'm not surprised by what she said here.
I ended up watching Hololive because of Kiara's collab with Nyanners. I ended up watching Niji because of VShojo too. Ended up watching Phase and indies because of clips. Each brings something.

im not a parent but it's basically like raising kids. when I was a kid I had always envied my rich neighbors' kids who pretty much gets whatever they want like PC sets, fast internet, a motorcycle you name it. they can also go wherever the heck they want even in the middle of the night and also have mysteriously huge cash allowances.

and then we grew up. their eldest daughter got 3 different kids from 3 different guys, the middle child got pregnant when she was still 17 and also has 2 kids from 2 different guys, the one next to her died from Drug Overdose and the youngest already got into 4 different motorcycle accidents and is still currently 22yrs old. so yeah now I'm actually glad that my parents were too strict on us.

The title hasn't changed, I just removed 1 line of text from the thumbnail that said "They have Freedom" from the thumbnail. There were no other changes to the thumbnail. Because I guess that's what some comment think the click-bait was.
When you are in hololive, you are generally seen as unapproachable. Even the people who are the most open about collabing outside of hololive, do this much less frequently than most smaller agencies, because people are scared that they are bothering a hololive member if they try. It's usually going to be up to the hololive member to reach out. Meanwhile, someone like Panko is much easier to reach out too.
It's the cost of being in hololive.
Even outside of the 'bothering' them, they are probably very busy and a lot more 'red tape' for anything outside of clubhouse games
There's also a reputation of Hololive fans flipping out if the wrong person (coughmalecough) talks to them. It's something that came up during VCR things with Aki as people were shocked that Aki's fans were happy to see new faces.
But the more popular a member the less likely they are to talk to non-Holos for one reason or another. Being busy with a ton of gigs is one.
Kiara really is going to have to put in extra effort to be approachable.
Unfortunately most of it comes down to twitch partnership and Japanese law. Twitch exclusivity gives them a lot of freedom in terms of how the culture and technology encourages use of copyrighted music and games, but just on twitch. Even though they can simulcast now, they still have to be primarily twitch streamers.
They're not Twitch exclusive. Kson is main youtube and others stream on yt occasionally.

Holo = A project that has strong fundaments and where the rules are meant to be there otherwhise no sponsor, no money, no more "Virtual Idol Project".
We can debate if those girls are idols or just dorks in a costume, but at the end of the day that's what Hololive is, an established project with a road to follow. On the other hand V-Shojo is more "free" beacuse they don't have anything like that, it reminds me of a thing that was trending in here italy a bunch of years ago "Tiktokers House" where a bunch of famous TikTokers would all stay in a "House" (Agency), but that was pretty much it . Basically V-Shojo is a group of people that stream as v-tubers (And also IRL if i recall), and THERE IS NOTHING BAD WITH THAT, there is no "better" or "worse" company, just different ways of approaching the market i guess
You're simply misinformed. VShojo is not just a group of streamers, it's a content org like OTV and OTK. They organize events, go to cons, find sponsorships, help manage and organize projects and have gotten the members big opportunities like being skins in SMITE, making songs sponsored by Nikke, irl fan meetings, among other things. Just because they're not as big as Hololive, doesn't mean it's not an agency.
Every time Kiara turns to one side or the other, she looks like she's eating her shirt. 😋

If Kiara ever wants to become a 100% streamer, then VShojo ia a good alternative. But knowing her, staying in Hololive is still the better outcome considering she likes idols and singing and has tasted the feeling of singing in front of a huge audience.
People say VShojo also has the capacity to setup a large concert is dubious for me considering none of them had done it.
Even tho vshojo do a concert it won't big and interesting in comparation of Hololive ones.

I still want to see and hear Kiara in whatever form she reincarnates into. In the meantime, I will continually watch her adventures in Hololive until her flames of ambition die out and proceeds to chill.

Yes, Mio's copyright strikes happened in the middle of 2020, both Gen5 and HoloMyth witnessed it happen first hand while they were waiting to debut. Anyone new to the company is told the processes they need to follow and if for some reason they don't know the reason why it's necessary they can just ask because they're grown women.

Vshojo has freedom of topics they can say, but they (excluding Ironmouse) rarely do something indicating freedom of content creation ideas, especially if compared to others like Dokibird or Filian who use their freedom to make unique contents or events.
Part of if is the twitch leaning which tends to lean on blunt lewdness and other crass things.

@@devildante9 Ironmouse has had concerts, a Fortnite tournament, a Lethal Company tournament, art contests, a gamejam, charity streams, half of her second subathon (which was full of collabs and events) money went to charity, she also does vtuber fashion shows where she promotes indie VTubers, she can easily mod games without jumping into hoops, she can have her community vote on what model she uses on stream, can (and does) sing songs all the time mid-stream, she does irl streams where CDawg walks her around various places including DIsneyland and let's not forget that she has a talk show where she interviews face cam streamers and vtubers both big and small. She has interviewed at least one member of every branch of Hololive including Kiara. In a single stream Ironmouse does zatsudan, sings, plays games solo and collabs.
That's just Ironmouse, other VShojo members have podcasts, talk shows, gaming collabs, art streams, release songs and do concerts as well. Come back to tell me how many times have Geega, Henya, Michi and Haruka slutted it up.

People forget that Vshojo is free. But any dumb actions the talents do is entirely on them and their agency won't claim any part of it if they in fact had no part in it.
But despite the drama Silvervale was 100% correct in that interview she got cancelled on. They had freedom. But just because you have freedom doesn't mean you let your ugly side come out in the many ways that it did.
That said I do clearly remember Kiwawa speaking against Silvervale at the time. Citing that she too had creative freedom. Except for all the parts where she objectively doesn't.

Niji, got like that, is because too much freedom since the beginning.
They dont have a proper rule, dont care much about the talents recruitment(some of the talents r bad ppl), and the talents also dont care that much of their own fanbase behavior(like how some doki fanbase be like thanking mumei in her livechat or comments back then. Some even type doki's niji name).
That's a problem waiting to happen. No need to wait actually. That itself is a problem.

Looking at the comments, I can't help laughing at how it's been many years now, and the KFP damage control brigade is still just as rabid as back when she used to have a breakdown every other week
IT BEGINS. ;) I have a standing prediction that the next Hololive talent to graduate will probably be Kiara. Not anytime soon! And she won't be fired -- she'll graduate by her own choice, likely after a few more incidents where she wants to do something and Hololive turns her down or delays it, as we've seen happen a handful of times in the past. She'll then go indie, probably creating a vtuber avatar for her PL account like Coco did after graduation, and she may even join VShojo in the end -- or she may remain indie, if she's able to get a decent enough manager and find herself a reasonable niche that way.
She just feels to me like she's the least satisfied of all the Hololive girls, and while she definitely appreciates Hololive and what they're able to do for her, I feel like she doesn't appreciate them ENOUGH to stick with them in the long term. This is compounded by the fact that her PL account just released an original song a few weeks ago -- which, unlike Calli's PL, isn't really something her PL has been particularly well known for (she's done it before, but not for years and years!), so there was no real fan expectation for it.
It just all feels like the first few rounds in a salvo of PR moves designed to prop up her PL account as the future successor of Takanashi Kiara, to me.
Note that I'm not saying I WANT this to happen -- just that I predict it happening, probably in a few years. The first few signs of it happening are all present, and it just kind of... makes sense, I think.
I guess we'll see how my prediction pans out over time -- and if you're a KFP member, fingers crossed I'm wrong!
WTF are you talking about? Stop making baseless speculations that can lead to misunderstandings. Kiara literally said that she likes being on Hololive because - even though they have a lack o freedom (because of perms) - she can do things that other bodies/indies can't.

@@Angel-by4xx Oh, like I said, this is just kind of... a morbid prediction on my part, I guess? I'm playing devil's advocate, you might say. I just got to thinking, I wonder who the next person to graduate in Hololive will be? And the conclusion I reached is that, there probably won't be ANY graduations from Hololive for a very, very long time.
But if someone put a gun to my head and told me to pick someone I felt was MOST LIKELY to be the first to graduate of the current Hololive members -- even be this in like, 3 years or something -- I think Kiara is the one.
I don't WANT it to happen, and I honestly don't think it's likely (not for a long time, at least!), but I do think she seems the most dissatisfied of anyone in the agency right now, and she also seems to be making more preparations on her PL account than anyone else to potentially prop herself up if she should one day decide to forfeit the Kiara character. So if I had to put money on anyone being the next in line to graduate, it would be Kiara.
If it makes you feel any better, she's not the only one I came up with! I also think Roboco and Shiori are remote possibilities.
Nobody from Holo ID, though! I just don't see any chance that any of the 9 current members of Holo ID are even remotely at risk of graduating anytime in the foreseeable future whatsoever.

@@StrikeNoir105E Simple fact is VSJ doesn't have the cash for anything THAT big. Holo invested 20Mn into their studio just to be able to reach this level.
I've always been a fan of Vshojo, but there's realistic limits on what they can actually do at their size.
