  • Oh well, about time I completed the inductive ring series. Too bad I have forgotten that the frequency had to be 4 kHz (not 3!) and the amplitude had to be 20 volts, instead of 10.
    I redid the video with the correct parameters, it's called "part 3 REBOOT".
    Nevertheless, it is possible to recover the correction factor for the UT139C from the measurements shown (it is left as an exercise for the student 😁)
    The gist is to show two different voltages across the two arcs of the circuit. By using inductors it is also easy to see that the self inductance of the copper ring is not relevant, here.
    I will post a few calculations at 3kHz to demonstrate these measurements are what the theory predicted.
