Madeleine McCann (born 12 May 2003) was reported missing on the evening of Thursday, 3 May 2007 from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in the Algarve, Portugal. One newspaper said it was "the most heavily reported missing-person case in modern history". It is still not known where she is or what happened to her.

Leaving ur children all alone at night with the doors unlocked just to enjoy has to be the worst kind of parenting ive seen. Enjoying on a vacation isn't wrong its literally what vacations are about but doing irresponsible actions especially at rather than taking proper security measures like locking the door and checking up on ur child properly isn't that hard. I pray that Madeleine is okay and if she is dead which i do not wish upon at all, she gets the justice she deserves 💔

Stop generalising. I can show you 100s of cases where Indian parents killed their children. That doesn't make all Indian parents bad. Also, things like honor killing are a million times worse than child negligence. So being overly strict and protective is in no way better. One should know how to raise children before bearing them.

*This case has UNCANNY similarities to Aarushi Murder Case (2008)*
1) Police messed up big time in collecting evidence or securing the Murder scene from being tampered, with crowd of curious people flocking into small apartment.
2) First reaction of the Mother was "MADDIE GOT TAKEN, THEY TOOK HER" as if it was pre-planned on her part to say this, just like Aarushi's mom said *"Dekho Hemraj ne kya kiya"*
3) In both cases, Parents are prime suspects and even though not proven, general public still believes them to be killers.
4) The theory of ACCIDENTAL DEATH by parents.
5) Both parents are doctors.
6) Both Aarushi and Madeleine had their birthdays approaching.
7) Both were born after IVF and very dear to their families, quite spoiled as well.
8) Parents being calm and composed. Madeleine's parent made a charity fund, whereas Aarushi's parents rushed to Haridwar, and Nupur Talwar even gave a news interview on NDTV on Aarushi's birthday!
9) Christian and Kanhaiya, BOTH gave extra-judicial confessions admitting the crime.
10) Both cases are UNSOLVED.

They were both doctors, highly educated and had money (they were not struggling) and they left their kids alone - they could have hired a baby sitter - if it was a couple from a different class they would have been charged with neglect - many people also think they were involved
Baby sitters , who r completely strangers are not safe for your kids . They can also have bad intentions. U can't anyone in today's world

I feel like blaming a mother when you have no evidence against her, is really heartbreaking. I can’t imagine the panic and the pain she went through. In situations like that you can’t be rational, at least i know that I can’t. I really hope that the baby girl is okay, and I hope her family is coping well.
I saw a video of a woman who was sold off to sex traffickers when she was barely 4yrs old and she had a lot to say about this case. She claimed that it is quite possible that Madeline was sold off by her parents to human traffickers for a big payout or to settle some debts. It’s just a very weird case , god knows what happened to this poor little child.

I heard about this case a few years ago, but didn't have the heart to see a full documentary on it, because cases involving children disturb me. Whether or not the parents had a hand in something sinister in Maddie's disappearance, were they ever in any form at least questioned for child neglect?
In some cases, parents of autistic children who are dedicated caregivers and unconditionally provide love and support to them, get more time behind bars for something that happened accidentally to the children, while the parents were tired/sleeping.

I always believed it was her parents who had done something to her but because her parents were rich they didn't get any punishment. I am sure they killed her and claimed that she was abducted. Police would have found her if she was alive.

This story just reminded me of a similar incident that happened with us when our family (my parents, me and my brother) went on a vacation. At that time i was around 7-8 while my brother was of 4-5 . So we were walking on streets and were watching some lake that was across the roadside , i was holding my dad's hand while my brother was walking on his own (after having fight with us to buy him some toys or smthg) we didn't realized when did he accidently holded someone else's hand and continued walking without any knowledge of who was that person he was going with. And when we turned to look for him he was no where , we panicked and started looking for him but thank fully that person realised some kid was walking with him and he came back and gave him to us!! we were glad he wasn't someone bad or else we couldn't have found him back. (At that time that place was crowded with so many tourists , it was really gods grace that man found us back )
People easily assumes that its the family that are careless bit never think of that actual sitiuation and easily blme the parents but accidents are called accident because they happens suddenly and without anyone's knowledge , so yeah think before blaming a parent and their parenting!!

These Parents are actually stupid. Who the hell keeps their balcony door knowing your kids are there. I'm Indian and I saw my parents getting protective when I was a kid, they would surely take me to dinner no matter what and even their friends I mean most of us. Even today, I'm a teen, and they can't leave me alone but I convince them and I call them every hour to keep updated ,as a kid no chance, they would take me with them or leave me at my grandparents but in this case there is no one to watch them
But even if the parents are not involved in the crime, still how can someone just see that light is on and door is open and think that it's all okay 😑😑😑

this is the most stupid parent thing to do. you go to a unknown place for vacation and leave the balcony door open that anyone can access and then when you go to check kids why wouldn't you go inside and actually see your children like why even check your apartment if you will just see the face of the apartment and come back without seeing kids, even if madeleine wasn't kidnapped still isn't this common sense for parents.
