So I mostly agree with your perspective. I actually read this manga adaptation about 2 months ago. I overall enjoyed it. It actually made me cry. The change to Okabe’s POV was jarring, but forgivable…because the art was great 😅. I even enjoyed the attempt to “explain” how she ended up becoming a lab member in this world line. Conclusion: Now it’s time to watch the stage play!
The cover art from Aishin Maze No Babel has been my desktop wallpaper for like 6 years now. Honestly one of my favourite official S;G illustrations with Faris in it. Still gotta read it some day lol
I'm glad having found, your videos are wonderful and let me explore Steins;Gate even more! I'm not always of the exact same opinion as you as I like the Braun manga, but GOD is your content gorgeous! Thanks and see you next time! o7
A truly lovely analysis!! Also brings up a great point about closing a story. Sometimes you gotta know when its over XD like you said, if it isn't adding anything new, then it's done. Continuing further can depreciate the impact. I really love how you talk about other mediums too. Manga, anime, and stage plays are all very different and bring in a different method of telling the same story. However, you defend why the stage play is superior in a really nuanced way. While different mediums are able to achieve different things, stuff like dialogue and pacing should be solid across the board no matter the format. So if the story is really similar, the vibe is really similar, but the stage play understands the pacing and characterization better then it's fair to say they tackled the story better than another medium. Some people just say "oh the books are better" but fail to realize the inherit strengths and weaknesses of different mediums and how they impact the way someone can tell a story. So I really appreciate your approach there! Very smart :DDD
Great manga. I was literally bawling my eyes out when I was reading it. It is a shame that White Fox never turned it into an OVA or something, because it is really important in understanding Kurisu's character.
Hey, just found your channel and I'm glad to found another fellow steins;gate fan. I just read the manga you recommend here; Aishin Meizu no Babel and I love it. Isn't it an adaption of the drama-cd Aishin Meizu no Babel? I found the drama cd's here on youtube with english translation :) I never read the manga "Historys strongest slight fever" so can you explain me why this adaption fucks up her character?
welcome!! that would be this one ua-cam.com/video/SyI_Z10t1mM/v-deo.html but yeah one of those is an adaptation of the other, and they adapted it to the stage which is also amazing
honestly this manga was way too important to not be turned into an ova; it turned kurisu's father into something other than a typical villian. This manga genuinely enhanced my experience with steins:gate, and I also didn't mind the extra chapters because I didn't want the manga to end lol on a side note: is the manga still ongoing? ok i just reread it and enjoyed the heck out of it, honestly i prefer the manga version of how things unfolded compared to the anime version. Shows a lot more.
@@WeebJail wish they also remake the steins gate last few episodes according to the manga. Honestly imo the dialogues, character and exposition is way better in the manga.
I loved bits and pieces of this manga a lot. The parts between Kurisu and Okabe were extremely strong, and the parts that examined our focused on Kurisu mostly were too. But beyond that, it lost my interest a lot because it did the same thing so many prequel stories do, where it weirdly ties all the characters together through coincidences that just seem ridiculous. Kurisu being tied to Daru and Suzuha through her father, and to Faris through her past was just silly. It's nonsensical fanfiction "Of course the parents/ancestors/kids of the main cast are friends just the same!" It doesn't add anything to Kurisu's character for me, and I thought the redevelopment/redemption of her father made him less interesting -he's just a cliche now, and he truly loved her and blah blah, all the classic filial piety cliches you've seen a million times. He was far more interesting to me through the tiny snapshot of him we got in the VN/anime and Kurisu's few comments. So the Faris stuff and the Father stuff both fell completely flat for me. But I loved the Okabe stuff and the Kurisu stuff, so overall made for a fun if not amazing read.

Did you know, Kurisu is a Playable Character in a Fighting Game called Phantom Breaker: Omnia for the Ps4/5.
ooo yea
As always, your script is quick on the wit and highly entertaining. Don't think I'll ever stop watching no matter what you talk about.
I’m so happy I subscribed after watching your 2 hour tierlist of every single time travel anime
04:02 Damned, I didn't know her father was a sibling of Corto Maltese. What a small world.

The video I was waiting for, thx 😊
I found your channel from watching those stage productions. :)
Time flies.
we need a 2023 sequel 😢
Best one out of S;G mangas, i also like the drama CD of this one.

Where can I read Vol 3?
i dont think any have been actually translated so you'll have to sail the seas
@@WeebJail Huh. It's a pirate's life for me then.
