Rope Drive

First prove of concept of rope drive.
Looks accurate and much less backlash as expected. After shaking it up, with a not so optimal rope tension it's in the range of 0.02 mm.

Old video I know, but I love this idea. I'm surprised we haven't seen it implimented elsewhere. How did you determine the angle of the thread guide slot? That seems like a complex calculation. I'm going to give this a try on a force feedback joystick I'm developing.
