So we decided to leave the location quick in order to prevent exchanging verbal arguments turning into a bar brawl. We manged to get out of harms way - an so did the german national team.

This is reminiscent of their famous 1970 WC match, in that it went on forever, was very exciting at the end, but ultimately the excitement came mostly because both teams were making lots of mistakes. And because of that, in my mind neither can be considered great a match. Although of course the Germans will savor it, as they finally managed to beat Italy.
