Congrats on the new bike! I am a new rider from Ontario and would like to say thanks for all of the Fz6 content. You help me a lot with knowing what to inspect on the bike. I ended up picking a blue 07 as well.
How is the wind protection on the fj09 compared to your fz6? I had an 03 fz1 for 17 years.i loved it and miss it. I changed to a super tenere, and i can't believe how .much comfier it is on trips. But its missing the fun factor. Im looking at getting a smaller cheaper second bike. Im leaning to a fz6 s2 but they're hard to test ride. I think the riding position on the fj is better, the motor might be more fun but is it worth double THE FZ6? $3500 VS $ 7G
The wind protection with the stock windshield in the FJ09 isn’t great. You’re more upright than on the FJ09 so your shoulders catch more air but the deflectors in front of the hands are nice and effective. Both bike benefit greatly from a taller aftermarket windshield. The FZ6 feels notably smaller than the FJ. The FJ had wider handle bars and a more open riding position than the FZ6

Happy to have been of assistance! Enjoy the ride and stay safe 👍
Is this stock exhaust? I'm looking to purchase a '15 as well. Yours sounds amazing.

@@Calvinm thanks for the info. Keep up the great work on your channel. It's excellent.
I’m guessing modern Yamaha doesn’t love draining the battery like the fz6?
Only time will tell! I’ve yet to throw a multimeter on this bike and see what the voltage looks like at idle.
These bikes are known to have speedo problems. They tend to stuck at 100:)
Yes very odd 😉😄
Looks like your speedo malfunctioned at some point ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Ya strange! 😉
