One of my favorite actresses, Takeuchi Yuko, decided to leave us. I still can't believe it. She was one of the first Japanese actresses I came to know. I made this video in memory of her and to process the fact that she is gone forever now.
I loved her warm, kind and happy presence.
    Hopefully she's in peace now.
    RIP Takeuchi Yuko-san (1980-2020)
    Gone but never forgotten.

This was a very well produced tribute to Yuko.
When the lift doors closed I was caught by surprise and I had to rewind a little to look again.
I discovered Yuko in Miss Sherlock and was enamoured and enthralled by her. I was still hoping for an announcement of a second series when I heard the news of her tragic death.
We will never know how she was feeling coming up to the end of her life but unfortunately suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem and causes more hurt and trauma to the family and friends of the person who has taken their life.

T Connolly, thank you for watching. I'm glad you liked it and nice to meet another fellow Yuko-fan :)
I remember the pain when cutting this video. I still get emotional when seeing it again, the mixed feelings of sadness, shock, loss, grief and anger of what happened. I guess there were a lot of factors coming together at a bad timing during corona times..

@@takeuchiyuko-fanchannel Thank you for your kind response. 🙏🏼
Yuko was a woman of great acting talent and versatility.
As she was maturing, her acting range was only going to expand both in Japan and internationally.
I am sure that I can speak for most people who watch your videos and thank you for honouring her memory and her legacy.

@@tconnolly9820 I think her acting skills improved more and more over the years, because of her determination, endurance and passion for the art. She was able to play the roles of different genres very convincing and naturally, be it funny, cool, romantic or sad ones.
Also she seemed like a very loving and caring person, always being thoughtful about other people and their circumstances. I just wish someone would've noticed her own circumstance and what she herself was going through..
Thank you for saying that, really appreciate it. I hope to see you around now and then on the channel. Take care!

Thank you for watching. Yes, you never know what's going on in another person. She told no one about the condition she was in, even less her intention.
Even her husband couldn't think of any reason for her to do it. I feel sad for the people she left behind, her husband, her teenage and new born son..
I guess there were several factors in play: the stressful treatment of actors in Japan (5 actors killed themself this year), stress at home, maybe postpartum depression, avoiding psychological help which is frowned upon in Japan, the missing balance between job and family due to corona which she apparently needed to get along, a colleague friend who killed himself a few months before..

@@takeuchiyuko-fanchannel I've seen some very good works from her in the past: including Pride (tv series, 2004); Flower Shop without Rose (tv series, 2008), and some other works i may have forgotten. I recognize the frame at 2:13 from the movie Golden Slumber (2010) , it was an amazing movie...so I will have to rewatch it when i get the chance. I like the song you picked: that feeling of being torn and uplifting.

@@sputnikwood Thanks for the recommendations. Still have to watch those. You have a good eye, Golden Slumber, a great movie indeed. I can also recommend Miss Sherlock (tv series), Strawberry Night (tv series and movie), Be With You (movie) and Creepy (psychological thriller, intense but very good). Also I still want to see the movie Dog in a Sidecar, where she also received some awards for Best Actress. I'm just now starting to realize what a great actress she became over the years. So sad we don't get to see more of her anymore.
I'm glad you like the song :) It conveys the way I feel pretty well and helps to say goodbye somehow. Your words describe it well: torn and uplifting.
I started putting together another video using her works, which will be rather uplifting and life approving.

"Be With You" thats an older movie that I have not watch even after all these years. ( Ive just downloaded it from my Asian movie source and will have to find a moment to really watch it). Must hurt a lot , as you are a big fan of hers. I've subscribed and will look forward to your second dedication to her.

The first time I know her, is her role in NHK's TV morning drama "Asuka" 1999, she acted the main role Asuka. The drama was brought to Vietnam and released in VTV3 channel in 2002. She was 19 years-old in this drama, so young and beautiful with shining smile. Recently I've watched some old movies and old dramas which she acted in, including "Asuka", "Pride", "Be with you", "Heaven's bookstore", "Style!", "Living Today for Tomorrow", "Cheap flight", "A Life", "Resurrection"... In almost movies and dramas I've watched, she acted very well, full of feelings. I rremember her smile the most. Suddenly, she passed away. I feel shock, sad and lost. Hope she has a smooth soul and good life on paradise :(

Thanks for all the infos. I wasn't able to get my hands on Asuka yet. I know her since Ring (1998). Her acting really improved since then. She always gets very much into the character she plays, especially when she has to cry. Some actors think of their dead dog or something, she just gets into what the character is going through, really superb. Many who met her said she had some kind of aura about her, like she was shining. I guess her title as the "Queen of smile" is deserved :)

@@takeuchiyuko-fanchannel Now you can still find almost episodes of the drama series "Asuka" on mediafire, it has almost the episodes, but there is only Japanese version, it hasn't got English subtitles and lost a few episodes. Believe me, this drama is wonderful, it's my childhood and youth time's memories, with beautiful "wagashi" in there. This drama is also the break that help Yuko up to the celebrity and star of J - biz, including TV dramas and movies. You can find the link here

@@thamtuful Cool, thanks a lot :) Curious to see the series that got her famous :) I watched "Airport 2013" (Daikuukou 2013) last night, which is a One Cut-movie, 100min. without any camera cut. One Cuts are tough, as lots of preparation, organization and rehearsal is needed. They shot it 6 times I guess. Although it comes with a lot of pressure, Yuko did a great job and acted so naturally and funny. Also props to the cameraman for filming 100min. without any break.
You can watch it here with English subs:

Actually in Japan, people rewarded her the name "Queen of tears", because in almost films which she acted, she has at least one scene that she has to cry, at each time she cry, she looking sympathized, the audience feel that they want to cry with her accidentally
