I always thought it would be sick to do a xl mini tournament on a shorter pitch and putt course. Entry fee is 3 minis and that's what you use for the tournament.
We did one last year. It was super fun. You do need to take care with how you throw or your elbow will be sore for a while afterwards (as Trevor found out).
Mini disc golf would be so sick as an actual thing I mean juniors. Technically speaking but it would be way more fun to weave them thru courses and it's a way to get more people involved who can't really throw normal discs. Just an idea 💡 😅
if you plan on doing something like this again in a 1v1, play it like a doubles where you throw a XL-mini and a normal disc. IMO there is just too much inconsistency when you swap every hole, and that also means half the person(al) content per hole. I wanna see both of you throw a brand disk normally, then how you BOTH compensate for the mini discs :) just a thought. Edit: just to clarify, do the same 3-disc setup, but you choose what disc you throw on every shot, then you throw the same disc as a mini.
Do you think you could do a video where someone not playing picked out 10 discs (per player). Then the players were blind folded and had to guess what each disc was by just feeling them. Every disc they got correct went into their bag for the round and the left overs would be left behind.
Over the distance of 250 feet they do what normal discs do over a distance of about 400 feet, so you can throw some extreme S-Curves with those discs, at the same time they are a lot more touchey and if you don’t put enough speed on them they will act very stable and if you put too much speed on them they will turn too much (like normal discs but the range of ideal speed is much smaller) 🎉
