    The switch just completes the circuit. You could also just cut off the clip that plugs into it and splice the hot and neutral wires together to have the circuit permanently open bypassing the switch altogether.

    Try a unibit, step drill bit. I use them all the time to make holes on plastic they work great not just in plastic but metal-wood time saver. Just remember to run the bit on reverse to get a super clean cut once desired hole size is reached you might have to drill a pilot hole, great work by the way 👍🏼

      Thanks for the tip! I tried one, but it still had the same problem. I've tried every type of bit I think and they all need some time of help to get all the tags off. Sometimes they do drill out perfectly though. That's why I think a heated element will be the best solution, I just haven't tried it yet.

    Have you used this to dry microgreens? I'm thinking you'd need to get a bucket and drill TONS of really small holes in it, or coat the inside of the basket with mesh.

    That safety switch might be a open ground switch. Just ground that wire and you'll be fine

    Interesting! Is there a wiring workaround of the washer cycle controls so that you get just a fast spin? I didn't catch if so. Thanks!

      I just use the stock controls it spins at max speed for the washer. Watch my first video about the washing machine I show it better on that one. You just find the spin cycle on dial and pull back when ready to spin, push in to turn off. Check out Michael Kilpatricks course if you want to wire it up to a switch, there is a link in the video description.

    What is recommended max. rpm (rotation per minute, speed) of a salad spinner?

    • @NaturesAlwaysRight
      @NaturesAlwaysRight  6 років тому

      These old washers only have one spin speed. Maybe there is a way to control the voltage to spin it at a specific speed but that would take an electrician. I don't know the speed, but I can spin 12lbs in my trash can receptacle at max speed. If it gets off kilter I stop it adjust the can then spin again.

    Don't smash the agitator just remove it with the bolt without smashing it

    Are you concerned about micro-particles of that plastic ending up in your food supply? Serious question.
