Mangawhai Heads Cliffs Walkway is a combination of an awesome hike and a great beach walk.
We took this stunning 8-km walk way back in April. We decided to take the cliff walk first which offers amazing views from the top. The steep climb only lasts for a short while and it is mostly flat once at the top. At the end of the cliff walk, there are steps that bring you back down to the beach where you’ll find a massive archway rock. We ate our lunch first before walking along the beach and returning to the car park. You will need to check the tide beforehand to make sure you’ll be able to walk the beach.
Without a doubt, Mangawahi Heads Cliff Walk is one of our favorite walks so far.
