Thank you for posting this!! I have RA I was actually diagnosed June 2010. I'm actually almost two years exactly younger than you. I had just turned 18 that summer. I have felt so alone with my struggle and hopeless. I was curious if anyone's stories were out there and that's how I found your video. I also dealt with loss, feeling broken hearted with a broken body. I am so glad to see your recovery. It also gives me hope for my own. Do you have an instagram or FB? I'd love to see your growth and your journey

    I feel your pain. Literally!
There were times when putting on my shoes was equivalent to asking my brain to punch myself in the face as hard as I could.
Meaning.... Pushing my swollen toe joints into a shoe was self torture that I had to endure just to walk outside.
Thank you so much for sharing.
It is nice to know you are not alone or crazy.
    Fight for a diagnosis early.

Your stories give me hope each and everyday🥹❤️ I was diagnosed with RA in 2021. Still remember the sleepless nights I had because my knee was in so much pain and I cried so much💔
    Much love from Namibia🫶🏽

I am 62. Was dx in 2017 with RA. Very similar symptoms to you although it was both sides and feet very painful. Intense stiffness after resting and sleeping. I realise now that I had other milder symptoms my whole life even as a kid. But I could not believe about the sewing needle as I had same thing only needle was in there 30 yrs as I didn't know. But it had formed an unsightly lump on top of my foot and only when I broke a toe and had to have an xray did they see the half needle. It was rusty but body formed the capsule around it for protection. Anyway had it dug out under general as was deep.
I am so sorry about your mom.
I am walking with the waddle and thinking it might be my hips although they are not painful as such, just feel weak. I have had both bunions surgically corrected recently(big ops) but I still walk in a waddle. So listening to you must be hips.
One last thing- my RA started up fully after I had botox for frown lines. Coincidence? Or was it a trigger.......

Interested to learn more of a connection between the Botox and RA flare ups. I keep seeing comments like this in several videos (Botox and Dysport) and not much is being discussed about it.

Hi…I am so glad you’re telling your story. I am sorry for your loss of your mom. My mom have RA with deformity and I have been battling autoimmune disease for yrs now. Sadly my RA factor has now only started to show this year and I’m glad bc I knew RA was a factor with my hand cramping in a “c” form for years. It’s getting worst bc I’m starting to have super flares and items falling out my hands.

Hi, when you say your RA factor has only started to show this year...is that the blood work? Were you already being monitored bc your mom has it? I just find it hard to get a Dr. to take anything seriously. Waited an entire year in agony for my GP appointment to get a referral and she simply gave me Vit D supplements. I also have other autoimmune conditions.

@@MJ-gj6mj Hi...so I was finally able to see my Rheumatologist this year. It came back (blood work) that I do not have RA even though the RF factor is very low. I started having symptoms of fibromyalgia this year. It has been such a whirlwind bc my primary care Dr thought I had Lupus. I still don't have a dx of anything, just symptoms of this and that.

How did you deal with all of this and not become depressed or overwhelmed? I don't mean for my comment to be insensitive....genuinely curious bc it's ALOT with these autoimmune conditions.

My condolences to your regarding your mom💜. I’m glad I’m not crazy because I have a lot of the symptoms you have and waiting on some relief. Sleeping has become a chore so I’m going to try the pillow. If all else fails I will ask my primary to see and orthopedic surgeon. Wishing to all the best….Martina💜
