I grew up in Cambria City. Johnstown was a booming wonderful city back in the 50's & 60's. Over 70,000 people lived there back then. Between the corrupt local politicians, the mills shutting down and the '77 flood. J-town is just a shell of itself. I left there in the late 60's. I still have family living in the surrounding areas. Sad now.
You can drive up Main Street on any given Saturday nite after 8 PM and probably won’t see anyone. Nothings open . The pot dispensary is the busiest place on Main Street.

He drove mostly thru the west end of the city. My neck of the woods. Brings back wonderful childhood memories. And that was over fifty years ago. Sad now.

Thankfully, my husband and I had enough sense to leave Johnstown in 1986. It doesn't look any better today.
