A trip to Palamu Forest in winter. Our destination was Betla.
Betla National Park is spread over 1252 sq. km area across Palamu and Latehar districts in Jharkhand. It is one of the first National Parks in India which was tagged as Tiger Reserve. In Jungle safari into the National Park, generally animals like Deer, Monkies, Bisons, Foxes are sighted. Elephants are also sighted sometime. But Tiger is rarely seen here, although it is named as Tiger Reserve. Peecocks and other species of birds can be found inside the park.
At 5 km from the gate of National Park, there are two very old and historic forts are there - Palamu Forts. From top of the forts one can have a bird;s eye view of the Palamu forest land.
River North Koel and Auranga meet at the confluence of Kechki Sangam, which is 11km away from Betla. There is a nostagic Forest Rest House at Kechki.
The video is made purely for entertainment purpose and serves as a travel guide for tourists planning to visit Betla forest in Jharkhand. We don't have any intention for commercial promotion and it is not for any business purpose.
How to go:
Daltonganj (new name Medininagar) is the closest Rail head to Betla (24km). However, Shaktipunj Express leaves Howrah at 13-10 and reaches there at around Midnight. Although pick-ups are arranged from Betla hotels, reaching there at so late hours may be inconvenient to many.
Alternate way is to reach Ranchi from Howrah by Train. From Ranchi Betla is 173km. By hired car it takes around 4 to 4.5 hrs to reach Betla from Ranchi.

সুন্দর ভিডিও। ঝরঝরে বাংলায় মিষ্টি গলায় বর্ণনা আকৃষ্ট করল। তবে, দুটি তথ্যগত ত্রুটি উল্লেখ করছি - পুরোনো কেল্লার আয়তন ৩ বর্গ কিমি এবং বেতলা ফরেস্ট ১২০০+ বলেছেন। সামান্য এডিট করে সংশোধন করলে ভাল লাগবে। আরও সুন্দর সুন্দর ভ্রমণের অভিজ্ঞতা জানার অপেক্ষায় রইলাম। আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা, ধন্যবাদ জানবেন।

অসাধারণ ফটোগ্রাফি ও বর্ণনা। পালামৌ ফোর্ট দেখার পর সেখান থেকে কি কমল দহ ঝিল যাওয়ার রাস্তা আছে?নাকি বেতলার গেটের কাছ থেকে যেতে হবে।

কমলদহ ঝিল যাবার জন্য বেতলার গেটে ফিরে যাবার দরকার নেই। পালামৌ ফোর্টের নিচ থেকেই গিয়েছে কমলদহ ঝিলের রাস্তা।
পালামৌ নতুন না পুরানো ফোর্ট থেকে গেছে রাস্তাটা! আর ওখান থেকে কত দূরে? আপনার কাছে ওই রুট ম্যাপের কোনো ছবি থাকলে প্লিজ শেয়ার করবেন।

জঙ্গল সাফারি বন্ধ থাকে বর্ষা কালে। সাধারণত অক্টোবর - নভেম্বর থেকে জুন অবধি খোলা থাকে। তবে বাফার এরিয়া সারাবছর খোলা।
গাড়ী বুক করব কি ভাবে ?
