8:55 - Oh, there was, in fact, a “Kingdom of Bavaria”. My understanding of that aspect of the German Imperial Government was that all of the old monarchies remained nominally in place, “under” the Kaiser.
I'm guessing that's why there were divisions named after the regions within the army like Bavarian infantry divisions?
Nah bavaria was an exception, they got Special Treatment and a bit more autonomy cuz they didnt really like being part of thr German Empire so much
its the reason the head of the german state was an kaiser or emperor and not an king

God I hate the scripted peace deals, it's why I never play these WW1 mods. If I'm ROFLstomping france, I don't want to just accept a random white peace, I'd want territorial gains or breaking up france.
Kaiserredex has the best way of handling this. Events that popup afterwards that give you a choice of what to do depending on what country you're playing.

I wonder why the factions were disbanded there in the end. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, why would these alliances end “just” because the war ended? Since it’s obviously scripted to happen I wonder what the devs based this on.
Entente kind of disbanded after WW1 that's kinda why.

Just a very useful tip for you and anyone else who has a skill issue when the ai actually fights back properly, keep an operational reserve rather than just stick everyone on the line like you used to. Maby your heavy hitters for example because the ai will actually play smarter (overall, though they do leave open tiles on front lines now, usually by accident I hope). So a field Marshall order and 1 army group of like on average 15 units (depends on how big the line is obviously e.g. on operation barbarossa mayb 24). And when the ai starts breaking through stick them on the hole they created in your lines and then couter attack, they tend to put the best troops in these spearheads so if you can cut off and destroy you are laughing. In one go you save your ass and take out the ai's elite troop. The spearheads don't tend to be very thick maybe 1 or 2 tiles you need to cut through (the longer you wait the worse it gets so do it quick). Do this once or twice and your laughing.
bro even when doing this i was struggling to win the german civil war on the easist difficulty
@SomeMilitaryGeneral german civil war. Delete army, train 1 unit on day 1. Deploying immediately after civil war fires and que up as many more as possible like 10 or 11 i think. Then use those when deployable (at 20%) to cut germany in half usually at the shortest point to the Czech border then clear out the north or south and then the other side until cap. It's quite grindy now since von mackenson (idk how to spell it) has half the bonus he used to have. Get instill auftragskeit as soon as possible and get the army offence expert it will help a lot. It's quite micro intense. You can try selling all weapons and planes and tanks etc on the market if you have the dlc then canceling the trade at the start of the civil war, it might give you more equiptment but not a lot extra (it still splits the amount you put on between you and brown germany i believe). But yeah it's no longer battle plan and chill. You could do the russian civil war cheese if you want and initially train army and do eco/ army navy or air focuses until you have 5 army exp (obv get an advisor to make it quicker if wanted) and convert all units to 1 line arty, fire civil war and then swap your units back. General tip, your war support will tank post civil war so don't expect to be able to keep war eco law or service by requirement (if you change to them)
