Plasma exchange does not return your plasma to you. The blood is spun in a huge centrifuge separating all the blood components. Then the plasma portion, which contains the offending antibodies, is removed and channeled into a waste bag and replaced (exchanged) with human albumin in most cases. Sometimes it is exchanged for fresh frozen plasma that has been donated by others, depending on the diagnosis.
Plasma exchange was very effective for me twice. I have NMO - neuromyelitis, aka Devic's disease. I went blind in my left eye twice. Each time they gave me plasmapheresis it brought my vision back with in days. 👍🏿
I also have the same thing as you. I don't know what to do anymore with this pain 😢 do you suggest IVIG or plasmapheresis for severe symptoms and steroids are no longer working for me
Hey, sorry for the delay. I just saw your reply. Plasmapheresis could help. I would suggest talking to your neurologist to see where your blood B20 blood levels are. As for pain, I notice most of my pain comes from the weather. If the humidity is 90% or higher. My mobility is not good, and my back pain is terrible. I also noticed a constant vitamin D3 and vitamin k2 as mk-7 helped a lot. I'm so sorry, I completely understand your pain. I hope and 🙏🏾 things make a fast turnaround for you
Hi thismine! Thanks for reaching out and commenting. Without knowing a bit more about your diagnosis/health HX it's tough to make that call. I'd be happy to chat with you over email if you'd like. danielle@lucid-med.com Danielle
Hi and thanks for commenting. I believe I answer this in the video-neither is better than the other. They accomplish similar goals through different methods. IVIG is more of a long term therapy whereas PLEX is used more as a bridge and during a crisis. Danielle

Is there danger to getting mRNA from IVG which will cause illness and complications.
I donate plasma and get paid for it. It's an oil change for your body.
