- First event vlog of 2024!!! And Erol’s first ever event!! A little bit different to usual as I am on the sidelines and not the one riding as I’m pregnant so that’s getting some used to being at events and not riding!! For this event we take Erol and zeb to waverton for a Cotswold cup event!
It was a good day and although not the best day on paper we were still really chuffed ☺️ so i hope you enjoy this video!

Well done in dressage for both boys and really well done in jumping as the ground went to ick mess and still clears! Congrats to Erol kept moving forward despite seeing🤡 hiding in that jump. Like Zeb waiting now for XC😉😊

Well again, Mellissa really had to earn her crust in the show jumping didn’t she. Really rode Erol hard which is good because he really does have to stop being a nonce. Good for her. His jumping is just bionic isn’t it. ❤

Hope you're feeling much better Ash. I can only imagine how proud you must feel when you're watching your horses compete. What a credit they are to you! I've been watching your vlog long enough to fully expect Zeb to be brilliant every time - as he was for Michaela. But I was blown away by Erol's dressage test! Wow, your baby has potential! I love your vlogs. You're all so entertaining. And your Dad is such a character! 🤣

Zeb’s dressage was really quite stellar ❤🎉 - he appeared relaxed and connected and his rhythm was consistent ❤ - I think Erol enjoys dressage - he appears to be most comfortable/happy/confident when he’s feeling truly connected with his rider - loved the vlog Ashley - stay safe and healthy while growing your special cargo 💓

Both horses and riders did really well Ashley you must be pleased with them all. You look great I believe ginger helps with nausea while pregnant. Your mum looks really well now too hope your dad gets his back sorted looks like he’s hurting a lot. I’m looking forward to part 2 tfs.🤗🏇🤗

I don’t WANT to wait a week to see the cross country! 😅 That’s my favorite part! Now I have to spend a week in suspense…
But both Micaela and Melissa did very well with Zeb and Erol in both the dressage and SJ. I was particularly impressed with Melissa’s management of Erol in the SJ when he decided to stop in the middle of the course for NO reason. I really liked how she kept her hands so far forward while driving from behind, both so that Erol wouldn’t get any mixed messages, and so that whatever take off spot he eventually DID decide to jump from, she wouldn’t risk catching him in the mouth. Erol is such an odd duck. He jumps around most of the course great, looking confident and calm while jumping jumps I would think he might find spooky. But no, it’s the most plain jump he doesn’t want to jump😂 I don’t understand how his brain works! He’s such a lovely horse though, and I’m sure will improve as he goes to more events. Of course Zeb, the main man, is wonderful as always! Micaela rode him very well, and I am jealous; I’d LOVE to ride His Royal Highness!❤

What an incredible opportunity, to event Zeb! He seems to be a willing schoolmaster (as long as he gets to go xc!)
That’s what I was just saying! I would LOVE to have a chance to ride Zeb bc Ashley produced him and then competed him SO amazingly! At this point, he knows exactly what to do, so I think he would be a great confidence giver. Of course it would also be a huge honor to be allowed to ride any of Ashley’s horses, but especially her ❤ horse

Dressage for Zeb Wow Michaela. For Erol and Melissa was also good but Melissa feet being always moving so much her heels was distracting . For horses were so beautiful !!

Aw Mel what a fab test you did on the old man the ground was horrible! Erol well he's just a wee green poppet such a good boy! Rotten ground for jumping too but you both smashed it!! Erol and Zeb both did great not forgetting their riders Melissa & Mic who tackled that awful ground really well. I had so much fun watching this video today. That main man Zebadee is so happy to be out eventing again. He absolutely loves it. Very proud of baby Erol although he did need some firm encouragement. Ashley you look fantastic Please rest up.

Wasn’t sure on Melissa’s side to side motion in erols bit before going into the dressage would like to know how that benefits I assume it’s to do with getting him to let go of the bit a little bit and not block so much but I feel there’s less aggressive ways to do so she just seems to ride very defensively
He does need to stop blocking 🤔🤔

I agree , and hoped my comment wouldn’t be the only one ! I would have been quite disconcerted if another rider did that to my horse
I have to say your vlogs are the most fun to watch and your family never disappoints, Scott included.. LOL! Zeb, always legend! Nice job Melissa to get Erol around, green boy but he has got some scope and will be excited to watch his progress, you are going to be such a good mom!!!

What Breeds are Erol and Zeb? 😁
@@CChloeMarieI think Zab is full Thoroughbred and I suspect Errol is mainly Thoroughbred but with some warm blood - maybe 25% in there, though he could be a straight TB x Warmblood - with the warmblood having quite a bit of TB in the pedigree.
