Love the multi pic video , really effective to see several different angles at the same time...Never seen anyone else do it so well in their video's.......awesome idea !!
Love the channel. As a rusty pilot, I enjoy seeing your flow with the various planes. Having worked as a medic on an air ambulance Navajo, this video brought back some memories (flying both right seat and back seat). And looking into some current flying options, it’s cool to see the wide variety of aircraft on your channel.
Maintained a fleet of Chieftains in Alaska for 13 years thru the 90's, damn fine aircraft, would really like to see somebody put a set of the new Lycoming 580's or even the 720's on one. The Chieftain is the only cabin class piston twin, that could handle 135 operations in Alaska.
If I took my hand off the throttles from student to retired airline captain my instructors would slap the sh*t out of me. Other then that great video. I saw the Navajo and it brings back memories of flying cargo. Great airplane.
I'm with you Rich, I haven't landed a Piper product yet, that I enjoy! Name anything Beech, they are all lovely! Great video as always, thanks for your work!
Hello. I’m not a pilot, but I’ve been enjoying your videos for sometime. I’m not sure I would do my PPL; I’m not too good with heights, but I’ve heard quite a few pilots aren’t too happy with heights until they get to control a plane.. my question is: why do many planes have winglets on the edge of the wings, what advantages do they give? Many thanks and keep up the great videos.
Thank you. Winglets can increase performance (mostly fuel economy) with aerodynamic efficiency. I believe larger aircraft benefit more. They look cool too!
Man, that paint looks like candy. All the "big" twins are gone (piston). I would think a big cabin twin would sell well today. If you can afford one, fuel price is not a concern.
Hey Rich, new to your channel and love the videos. Had a question, if $$ were no object and you were a new pilot hoping to eventually transition to a cabin class turbine aircraft what would be your aircraft choices starting from 1st to last! Thanks so much!👍🏽
Assuming you want to get into a twin, I would get ME/IFR rating as soon as you could and then go straight into a Baron or DA 62 to start building ME time. Good to start getting ME time early for insurance and to develop good ME flying habits. Thanks for watching!
…don’t like the way Pipers flare…🤭 I totally agree 👍. Comanche, Cheyenne, Mirage, all the same. Beechcraft does it better IMHO. THX for the wonderful video. 👏
Was there an issue with retracting the gear? Seemed like the handle didn’t stay up the first time? Never flown a Navajo, got a little time in a Cheyenne, like a Porsche of the sky!
Lock and Key can make your old school Cheiftan Navajo like new and with all Garmin and I would love to demo this one Rich and I’m riding along side you
Buying the right Muti engine for your business needs which I would have this one and finding the right one isn’t especially easy but I can if the price is right
I owned 2 Navajo 310s (2x310 hp) and fuel ran 40 gph or less in cruise while he with a Navajo CR with 5 percent more horsepower was burning 50 percent more fuel at 60 gph. For 10 gph more move up to Piper Cheyenne II and get 100 knots more speed.
Your fuel calculations are off a bit. The Navajo CR 325 hp is 18 gph per side in cruise and the Chieftain with io540-j2bd stock engines is 20 gph per side. @ 31in mp/ 2400 rpm at 10k ft
@@FlyingwithRich - That's actually a very fair price, considering the L&K upgrade, avionics and absolutely stunning quality. This has to be one of the nicest Navajos out there today.
By the way I don’t like “call for price” either - most of our listing post price. Some circumstances dictate “call for price” but we try to always list price. Thanks for the feedback b
@@FlyingwithRich really?....DUDE.and i could have a brand new 172 for that! (typed with a heavy dose of irony and a lil sarcasm) nice bird and price is on point too
good video as usual. you make flying such fun to watch. keep up the good work
Thank you!
Very Beautiful Navajo!
My wife and I worked in the paint shop at Piper -lakeland- from 1977 until they closed. it was a grate time,.
Love the multi pic video , really effective to see several different angles at the same time...Never seen anyone else do it so well in their video's.......awesome idea !!
I flew this plane in Hawaii for a few years love the mods you’ve done to it.
Beauty! Great to hear the engines humming in this early morning.
Yes that's part of the conversion.
That would be LK8😀 one of our absolute favorites.
We just finished LK10. #N79LK
Now taking pre orders for #LK11
Great video!
That is one good-looking Navajo and one clean panel. I need a Seneca I, non turbo, to use for flight training and an aviation ministry.
Beautiful. What a great aircraft...! Excellent upgrades.
👍☑️ Beautiful plane for its age, that conversion must have been pricey but worth it.

Love the sound of the smooth operating engines
These engines were very smooth! Thanks for watching!
Thanks Rich. This is a very desirable twin.
I enjoyed my time in the Navajo. I flew 73LK which also has the lock and key. Very similar except for the panel.
Hey Rich thanks for another great video, yes this one does look clean and nice to fly from what i can see.
Thank you.
Hey Rich love your laid back demeanor and your vids thanks for sharing - Matt from Maryland.
Thank you Matt!
Greasy touchdown there bruv 😎😎
Another aircraft equipped with my VG kit, the increase in GTOW is 200lbs on a Panther converted Navajo as opposed to 340lbs on a stock airframe.

Interesting comments - thanks! Don’t have a lot of experience with the Piper twins. I was impressed with it though - big airplane feel!
Mike Jones does a great job with those Lock and Key upgrades.
Who?
@@adanmccloskey3149 MIKE JONES!!! 😜
What a great looking a/c someone is going to be really happy with it

Thank you. Flew a Saratoga for a video yesterday and felt pretty good on it but still struggling a bit!
Wish you guys would show the interiors of the planes too. Most of the time it's cockpit only so hard to get a full picture.
Will do - thanks for the message.
Great airplanes.
Very nice Aircraft is it still available
I love an overhead panel.
Me too!

Piper's flare fine buddy but you gotta use TRIM more. Makes the roll out easy.
How much cost do you think if get a new engine and interior including new aviation with Garmin 1000 NXI?
Nice Piper!
Agree
Cool channel, cool planes
Cool subs/viewers too!
A/C off for takeoff. Great airplane

Sad to see fewer and fewer of these airplanes, but nice to see people still investing in them!

I need a OCR aviation hat. where can i get one? Your videos are great. keep up the great work.
Thanks. Send me an e-mail and we’ll try to get you a hat.
What's your typical fuel burn?
Max power cruise probably around 40gph/hour.
Spent years flying ups in them in the 80s and 90s. Panel sure didn’t look like that though.
Now this is a Panther now
Buying the right Muti engine for your business needs which I would have this one and finding the right one isn’t especially easy but I can if the price is right
Why don’t you like the way Pipers flare??
Just not as easy for. E to make a smooth control input in the flare, but probably just me.
What kind of autopilot?
I believe a King KFC 200.
What was the selling price?
Mr . Rich: is this Piper Navajo sold or for sale?
Sold.
The only problem is it’s not a Navajo Chieftain CR
That's the numbers I want to hear; Full Fuel Payload
That's a petty plane!!!
Really is a great airplane. Hope you and Janis are well!
@@FlyingwithRich
Yep we are fine, got bounced around pretty good today . . .
How much was it??
Would this plane normally have geared engines?
No. Originally counter-rotating engines but that was changed during upgrade.
Hi, may you put subtitles to your videos? i like them, but, im learning english, is it very difficult?
Thanks for the tip! We will work on it. It's a lot of work!
You can get Subtitles by tapping the CC button on the top right. I also use it.
Feel free to also SUBSCRIBE my channel. I am a somalian aviation lover
Thank you,

Engines, not motors.
Ham, not turkey.
All that capability and room for an airplane you got to have a straw blowing dry air up your nose
If you choose to fly at this altitudes correct. Thanks for watching.

Oxygen system using nasal cannula.
