Uuuugh.... I have so much to work on. 😭but still, it's really awesome. 🥰UA-cam, entreprenuership, business ownership... so much of it is truly self improvement and development to better serve others. It's really freakin' awesome.
It really is. That’s an easy thing to lose track of and I do it too from time to time. But absolutely, the more you work on yourself the more it seems to overflow into everything else you do.
I can hardly wait to watch this video, but before i do i just want to say - up until a few weeks ago i almost exclusively did livestreams on youtube. In about 5 months or so i accumulated 850 subscribers, 110k views, and 14000 watch hours from just livestreams. But i was livestreaming almost daily, for 5 months. Boy did that cause a major burn out. Ive since then made a huge channel pivot to making longform videos instead. My chanel growth has almost stopped completely, but thats because i never made actual videos and dont know how. So i am learning that side of youtube now. But even though my growth has stopped, and i have to learn a whole new process, i am 10000x happier than i was before. Just wanted to say that in case it may or may not help somebody in some form or another
Question Nick that might be a topic for a video for you: My audience is 75% older males and a slightly less number of older females. I want to attract a younger and more diverse audience, as my channel is about outdoors and exploring. Shorts attract a younger demographic, but they don't stick around to watch my long form videos, although recently, shorts have brought in subs that are younger I find myself not showing the real me in my videos because I know that mostly older people are watching. Does that make sense? It's like acting a certain way in front of your grandparents and differently around your friends. It's not drastically, but still....
It’s going to start with the topics. The topics you make videos about need to be of interest to younger folks. In addition to that, the imagery you’re using to grab their attention needs to resonate. If you’re like me and have a little salt/pepper thing going on then you might attract more of the older crowd as well because they’ll resonate with you more. Like, “oh this is the one for me”.
Great inspiration Nick. I believe ive reached a turning point where i understand my audienece and what im best at delivering. So i should have never ending topics which is great and every video will show a level of improvement as i continuousley hone my craft. Thanks again 🤝
