About 2 Meter Sessions
====================
Based in the Netherlands, 2 Meter Sessions is an independent, ongoing (new) music platform with a great legacy. Monthly we film 3 to 4 sessions with promising and breakthrough acts from all over the world.
Many well-known acts have visited the show; from James Taylor, Elliott Smith and David Crosby to Damien Jurado, Ben Howard and Josh Ritter, via Radiohead, Nirvana, Coldplay and Foo Fighters. Archive footage can regularly be seen in (theatrical) documentary movies, like “Mystify: Michael Hutchence” (with footage of our session with INXS, filmed in 1997), “Heaven Adores You” (with footage of our session with Elliott Smith, filmed in 1998) and “All I Can Say” (with footage of our session with Blind Melon, filmed in 1993).
The show started back in 1987 by radio presenter Jan Douwe Kroeske. On his popular national radio show he persuaded New-Zealand band Crowded House to play a couple of songs. The response of the public was so great, that 2 Meter Sessions quickly became a household name. In 1993, the show made a successful transition to national television. From there the show became a national phenomenon, for over 10 years, with filmed sessions of new talent, breakthrough acts and arrived career artists. Almost a million of 2 Meter Sessions cd’s were sold in the Netherlands.

@@patrickmcgrath7224 I don;' think that an album exists because the 2 meter sessions is a weekly radio program in The Netherlands and so many musicians performed there, no albums, only the recordings you can find on YT.

er moeten ook geen grenzen zijn als het om muziek gaat,nederlanders moeten toch ook makkelijk kunnen scoren in engeland en amerika?.....bring it together
Mensen moeten eens doorhebben dat scoren helemaal niets met muziek te maken heeft... de muziek die op de radio komt is bij lange na niet de beste muziek... sterker nog, ECHT goeie artiesten worden niet ondekt.
En het ergste is nog... zodra menig artiest van de roem genoten heeft verloederd hun muziek... Anouk is hier een perfect voorbeeld van... haar muziek was vroeger vele malen beter. Maar bijvoorbeeld ook de band Train... die met Drops of Jupiter een wereldhit neer zette en sindsdien ook alleenmaar kut nummers uitbrengt... Muziek moet uit je hart komen, met passie gemaakt worden...

@netterstyl This song is originally by Live. i've seen them perform in Ahoy. and Edward Kowalczyk is one of the best live performances i've ever heard. i agree with you that their voices dont match perfectly, But Ed is as much of a great musician as Anouk. And a much better songwriter non the less... cuz lets be honest... Anouk hasnt made a good song in a loooong while ;)

No. Hannah Reid from London Grammar sometimes sounds like Anouk. A matter of order. If you listen to other songs of Anouk, you will understand how much deeper are her voice and register. Il like London Grammar, but Anouk has so much more soul and rock in her voice !

I agree their voices don't match. He's very one dimensional while she has so much depth to her voice. Not the best pairing.
His range has nothing to do with singing well. have you ever heard the woman with supposedly biggest vocal range? Atrocious singer!
I knew of Live from their collaboration with Shelby Lynne first. Their voices were better matched.
Because of Anouk's cover with Bettens, I watched this as well as two videos where he sings it alone.

Dance With You was *so* beautiful...until he came in, and just shit all over it.
To add insult to injury, he's too loud in the mix, even if his voice did sound good alongside hers.
I'd feel downright embarrassed for him when he comes in with his solo, it's so awful, but someone should've known better than to team up a heavyweight like her with an out-gunned mismatch like him.
But her - she's as good as it gets. You'd better bring some chops if you want to sing with her.
