When I was growing up I didn’t get allowance for doing chores. My mom also gave me about $250 a month to help her at work, and then it was for anything I wanted to do that was extra. So she said if you want lunch at school I would budget for it from my money, if I didn’t want to spend the money on that then she would provide me with groceries for packed lunch. I think this is great! It taught me at a young age to be more responsible!
An idea for a warehouse…the storage sheds they sell and rent for people that need extra storage. A friend of mine has one that she runs her reselling business out of and she loves it! It has a loft area on either side and plenty of room for all her inventory as well as her desk, shelves, filing system, etc. She lives in the Midwest and uses a fan in the summer and she said it doesn’t get hot in it and winter she just uses a small space heater. Its nice! You could put it in your backyard if you have room. They have many sizes, I’m sure the biggest one would give you plenty of room, or even some smaller sizes. I love seeing how far you’ve come and the places you are going!! Congrats on the new home!!

Might I suggest getting a storage unit in a secured location to begin with its cheap enough that you can still save toward a warehouse but with it being month to month it's much less of a commitment since you never know what tomorrow holds and your plans or situation could change
I've been doing a storage unit for the last year or so and it's tiinnyyyyy and $200 per month. I really need a space to work out of as well as store materials. A storage unit is a great first step that I would recommend as well, but I feel it's time for me to move on to the next stage because my income is at the point where it's limited because of lack of space (and lack of employed help in said space). =) ❤

My fave emoji 💕 I agree with the chore money. To a certain extent and age, it's a good experience for them because who wasn't happy when we got spending money right? But at a certain age like about 10 imo, you should teach your kids to be more active in house duties without expecting a reward.

Food is our biggest budget shift this year as well. We are working on spending less right now and saving a little each month to do a good garden and invest in some preservation equipment for whatever we can grow ourselves. I’ve been making laundry soap for us for almost 3 years now, but recently started making bread so I don’t have to buy it anymore. I’m so thankful we live in an Amish-heavy community with a bulk food store! Last week I finally nailed a coffee creamer recipe, but i just can’t believe we have to scrape so much just to survive!
That is absolutely amazing of you I hope I've caught up and am doing a lot of the same by this time next year. I spend way too much on fast food and convenience food and my budget (and body) is feeling it. For recipes you're loving, do you search for them online and give them a try until you find the right fit or do you have any favorite cookbooks? ❤

Here's how I do Chore money: we have some very generous family members that give the kids a bit of money every couple years. It's theirs, but I don't want them going off the handle and spending it all in one go so I save it in their named envelopes in my budget binder and they slowly earn it by doing chores. They eventually get it and the chore money isn't coming from my pocket.

I have seen on IG how parents have their kids on thier pay row n yes kids do things like u said move camera, hold things, take pictures, n simple kids like that. I have a question, does the percentage of tax that should be set aside differ between states? I don’t know much about it but everyone I watch sometimes video they recommend 30% of income to be put aside. I’m just curious if its just depends on the area. 🦄 So glad to see you!! I’m with you on not paying my boys allowance for chores. I do however want to give them the chance to earn money and learn how to handle it so I pay for them doing their chores without being told. I also take behavior at school and grades into consideration. 🧜🏻♀️
I give my kids chore money - but it's not per chore - it's more like for having good grades, doing things around the house, just being good in general - to each their own. I want them to earn money and get the grasp of money. I think having them help you with your work is a great substitute.
