When I was a child I had a horrible dentist who didn't numb me correctly the pain was horrendous and it resulted in me having a really bad phobia of the dentist. But luckily my dentist now is especially for patients who have been though trauma and he is just like this. However he numbs my mouth so I'm not screaming the place down. He explains what he going to do before. Tells me he will stop whenever I ask. And is really gentle. I needed anesthetic for a wisdom tooth extraction. I remember sitting in the waiting room when my name was shouted to go through and see him and I was suddenly in tears. I went to the reception desk to make up something and say I needed to leave. But my dentist came out to the waiting room. He was great and said he just wanted to talk to me. I went in but when saw the chair and all the equipment I was in tears again he smiled nicely just saying 'We don't need to do anything today if your worried just let me have a look I won't try and pull it out without your say so' I still wasn't sure I thought once I'm laid down I can't get back up. He never once lost his temper he just said that I must be in so much pain with my tooth and maybe he can suggest something else instead of an extraction if I let him have a look. He also said I'm free to get up and leave anytime I want to so. I let him look and he asked how I felt about being numbed then I can decide after if I want it removed. I did end up letting him remove it. I think he knew I'd give in and just do it all a long because when I agreed to be numbed he had the needle already loaded and ready to inject it. Also he didn't strap me down like this one 😂. I did move my head away from the huge needle the first time and said I wasn't so sure anymore and sat up . Just a knee jerk reaction. But he just smiled took time said to try and relax and that it won't hurt and asked if I felt I could lye back down and just let him so this part and that's it just so he can have a closer look and that he might be able to suggest something less invasive than an extraction. I did eventually lye back down. And I'll admit the first needle does hurt and when I percied my gum I pulled my head away slightly but it was already in so he followed my head and pushed it in a little deeper. But it was already in so although I didn't like it he didn't force me and he said the worst is almost over and said I was doing very well. And he asked before he removed it and spoke to me the whole time whole removed it. I'm studying to be a nurse and he spoke about exams and what he did to get though his. He didn't stop until my tooth was completely removed and kept on saying how well k was doing. Also when he had pulled it out I shot up and tried to leave. He again had time and said 'Hoooold on. Lye back down and give yourself a minute. You'll pass out otherwise. And it made all the difference. I'll admit the first needle hurt but he said I was doing well and I didn't feel the second. I feel so much better now it's out and although I still don't like going he makes it easier for those who are affiaid.
The living pulp cut by the cutter blades is the worst pain there is. There is no more horrible pain than the cutter that cuts into the pulp, it is impossible to resist without anesthesia, you can die of a heart attack from too much pain, the cutter is too sharp and painful to be endured without anesthesia, sometimes it is painful even with the 'anesthesia
@@GxreyLucafxnt if you don't, please brush your teeth after every meal or at least 2 times a day. also floss every night. trust me. it'll help a lot. you need to go to the dentist for a check up. it isnt gonna be so fun when you have a bunch of cavities

Those grains are so sharp, sharp like a samurai's sword, with each turn the bur cuts a piece of pulp and the nerves transmit excruciating pain. Why is there no less sharp and less painful tool for amputating pulp in 2022?

The no anesthesia component of this story has to be bullshit. Lidocaine, Novocain, or any other -caine would be HIGHLY unlikely to cause an issue for a patient. In addition, tooth roots are INCREDIBLY sensitive even with anesthesia. Without, it would be HUMANLY IMPOSSIBLE to hold still without some sort of paralytic or stabilizer over the mouth and head. The dentist would be unable to do the procedure without anesthetizing the patient. Any dentist that can, in his or her heart and mind, find work like this appropriate should not be a dentist.

Imagine a rotating blade, sharp as a razor or like a samurai sword, made up of small diamond blades, so hard and sharp that they cut through metals and glass like butter that slowly dissects a small piece of nerve, a clean cut , like that of a katana, those diamond grains that enter the nervous tissue at high speed and cut it like a sword, at each turn of the cutter a piece of nerve is cut until the chamber pulp is completely amputated. it was the most horrible pain of my life, my head exploded, my eyes, ears, neck hurt, it felt like I had a nuclear reactor in my brain, I felt like a salami being sliced. I thought that the dentist, after cutting all my nerves after him, would come to the skull to cut the brain.

If it helps - i’ve had 9 teeth done in the last 6 months. Anesthesia dulls the pain so much, that you feel no pain or very, very little. If you do feel something, they stop the drilling and give more anesthesia. Trust me, the worst part is having your mouth fully open for 1,5 hours. i was scared shitless before my first appointment, but it’s actually really ok :)
This clip is completely not real, it’s only a movie. As far as I know, there are zero procedures in dentistry that involve anything more serious (tooth pulling, braces, cavity work, etc) where they don’t give you anesthesia. I know it’s scary, I just recently got a tooth pulled for more room in my jaw, and they had to cut into my gums, glue a button onto a tooth, and pull it down into place. I felt nothing, other than slight pressure. Trust me, you will be ay ok :)

Because James was on drugs and if he were to be given more drugs regardless of which, it would be lethal to him. In most cases in dental torture videos, the dentist has no faith but in this case since he is dealing with a drug addict in rehab who is near death, the dentist has no choice. That is why he was given no anesthesia.

Alternatives to anesthesia. 1. Hypnotherapy, 2. Acupuncture. Have been used in major surgery and dental successfully.
Recovering patients and those in treatment can receive local anesthesia for dental care. A dentist would never do this to a patient either!
