Love this comparison video! 👍🏻 I wish it was available when I first started investing!😊 I have a big part of my portfolio in VAS and was pleased when they recently cut their fees to 7bps.
Hi Bryan i am just wondering may you please a video on good and cheap platform where we can buy the stocks. and also like index funds may you please let us know the top companies of each category like in mining, construction, retail and many more if possible. Thanks 👍
What about diversifying by investing in US and Australian markets? Is the better or safer? For a middle aged newbie trying to increase retirement funds, how many etfs should i buy if i plan to use 10% of salary? All eggs in 1 basket? So confused...pls help, Bryan!
More markets means more diversification which in theory is 'safer'. As people get older, they tend to become more conservative and safer in their investments. Also, if you really want to optimise your investments until retirement age then look into salary sacrificing. This will give you a HUGE tax advantage. ua-cam.com/video/9dKnnk5jpVQ/v-deo.html
I have a question: is it considered "safer" or beneficial to diversify your fund providers as well? e.g having funds from both Vanguard as well as Blackrock iShares. (For example if I have a number of shares in iShares ETFs, should I look to buy Vanguard shares that track a different index)
Good question! I wouldn’t worry about it too much since it’s unlikely these providers you mentioned would go bust. However, if it were ever to happen, the assets aren’t held by Vanguard directly, they are held by a custodian bank. So the most likely scenario would be a Vanguard competitor will come in and the assets would be transferred to them. So it won’t really effect the investors other than the fact their shares are managed by another firm. Having said that, it doesn’t hurt to diversify especially if you have a low cost broker.
Hey Bryan thanks for great vdo. I have learnt a lot from you. I now have Commsec pocket app. I also would like to invest in VAS which doesn't have in commsec pocket. What would be the best broker for beginner to invest in VAS?
I personally use Stake but CMC Markets is also great for dollar cost averaging. Check out this video where I compare all the popular Aussie brokers: ua-cam.com/video/TD82JT3GgvE/v-deo.html
Not really. Probably a few minor differences like company % weighting which likely won’t make a material difference in performance in the long term. Solactive probably charges less and that’s why A200 can offer a lower management fee.
Hey Kyle, VAS only tracks Australian stocks. For context, the ASX only accounts for 2% of the entire global market. So perhaps you could look at diversifying a bit more especially if you’re going ALL in. Good luck 👍
They are very similar since they have almost the same companies just with different weighting. If you look at past performance, they’re pretty much the same.

Thank you! I’m also excited that both VAS and A200 reduced their fees. Great for us Aussie investors 🤩
Thank you, you are being a great source of information 🦉
Cheers Tracey! Glad you found it useful. Much more to come 😃
Great rundown. I switched a few years ago from STW to IOZ due to the lower fees.
Nice one mate. Since this video, IOZ's management fee has further reduced from 0.09% to 0.05%!
Hi Bryan, can you make a video to help understand the dollar cost average method and how much money should one put in the ETF's to start with ?
Great idea Amit. I’ll definitely put it on my list 👌
@@BryanInvest thanks mate
Which one is your favourite Aussie index ETF? 🇦🇺

Nice one mate. Congrats and good luck with your journey 👍
How does CGT work on ETFs?
If I buy them regularly at dollar cost average and then sell them, do I pay CGT on the growth i have made?
Very helpful video Bryan. I love the comparison!
Looking at VAS. thanks for the video
Nice one Wendy!

Hi Pritish, thanks for the feedback. I’ll definitely release these types of videos in the future. Stay tuned!
Thankyou so much for your kind assistance.
Hey Bryan, I really like this comparison video. Can you do more comparison videos for other similar ETFs like US companies, Asiar Market, Ethical etc?
Thanks! I’ll put them on my list 👊
Hmm I think VAS but defs look at A200 to. Thanks bro. 👊🏾
Nice one mate 👊
Looking forward to more updates for current investing. Keep up the amazing videos!
Thank you! Heaps more investing videos to come this year 👊

Is there a difference if A200 tracks Solactive Index as opposed to the S&P?
Not really. Probably a few minor differences like company % weighting which likely won’t make a material difference in performance in the long term. Solactive probably charges less and that’s why A200 can offer a lower management fee.
How to invest in s&p 500.?
I'm currently working on a video about this!
Witch one of the 3 has the best mix of Australian and USA shares ?
None of them. They are all Australian companies only.
VAS my guy😊
Do those ETFs have an accumulating to distributing dividend policy?
Hey Brian, if I wanted to just put all my money into VAS is that fine? I’ve done my research just wanted to know

They are very similar since they have almost the same companies just with different weighting. If you look at past performance, they’re pretty much the same.
Which one is the cheapest to buy?
Hmmm…depends what you mean by cheap. A200 has the lowest management fee but honestly the difference is negligible.
Great content mate
I'm looking to start investing, late.
I'm thinking beta shares mainly because it has nothing to do with blackrock/vanguard
What’s wrong with Vanguard? Their fees are pretty good.
Hi Byran
i just want to start the investment in index funds so what could be the best piece of advice you may give me.
Thanks
Hi Pritish, I would say be consistent and disciplined. Dollar cost average and try not to time the market. Good luck 👍
@@BryanInvest Thankyou so much. Byran for you kind words.
