Awesome, enjoy 😉
Wow.... Never seen or heard of it... But sure taste yummy. Thanks Pretty!!!
Thanks claudy
This look so delicious, is there a way it can be made vegan?
Yes! You can make it both gluten free and/or vegan by parching the flour by itself, then, instead of doing that step with ghee, you bring your liquid coconut or plant milk mixture with all the spices, vanilla and raisins or cherries to a simmer with the cinnamon stick, then swirl the vegan butter into it and then quickly pour that into the parched flour once the parched flour is toasted by itself in a hot pot. @Metemgee is the boss lady on this one, and explains just how to adapt traditional Guayana delicacies to suit paleo/ vegan/ gf specifications 💚

Hi Candy. Do you have a sirnee recipe?
Here I am 2023 Diwali, you tube has taught me how to make Persaud 😅
Thanks for sharing but i am not seeing the measurement where can i find it where do i f8nd the description box
Thanks for this. so easy :)
You're welcome
Love it.
Hint. You can pour all of your liquid and let it boil down slowly there will be no lumps. This saves your muscles.
Hint 2. You can Parch the flour then add the butter and mix well - easier. Good eats. Love my prasad with some puri.
Thanks for the tips will try those next time.
This recipe looks very tempting 😋 but from what I see it does need a lot of elbow grease lol 😆. Does it serve hot or cold?
It serves at room temperature hon.

@@candythaglamcook you need to put the method of the recipe because some people is making this for the first time do step by step when you are showing people.
At the bottom of the recipe just like the cook in guyana
@@karengriffith9642 the method is shown in the video. The ingredients are in the description box I'm sorry if that's not enough.
Thank you for the respect ❤
This parsad is made when we do puja and prayers or Havana is an offering a food for the Gods in Hinduism 🕉
Correct but in guyana it's also made for indian weddings, party events or holidays.
Guyanese people make it anytime they feel like eating it lol for every occasion and it’s ok and normal
@@randyrai5449 right
Looks delicious. No cream soda?
Nah I don't like that. Add it to yours if you like.
@@candythaglamcook Sorry didn't mean to offend. I never made it before and everyone I saw making it used that so I was curious. Your way looks so easy and delicious.
@@shayshayyy08 I'm not offended dear just saying I don't like it in mine. Thank you for stopping by have a great day 😊
@@candythaglamcook You as well. It's always great when I find my fellow Guyanese cooking my childhood staples 🙂
In India its called Halwa. You can make it with whole wheat flour or chick pea flour that is Besan.
Yes I know dear. Thank you
Use suji...its more healthy
Can you give us a larger recipe ingredients. Say for like a Jhandi
We do not use butter to makebit for our religous function
Yea we know it’s ghee
In India we use whole wheat flour or sooji/semolina, not white bleached all purpose flour
