Thank you Dom. Sadly will be a while I think, it’s the only project where I’ve not done both sides, my friend Dan is doing some DAK but that won’t be for a while.
I’m going to have to buy some Italians but they’re going to be a few projects down the list.

I like the musical choice for the video. Industrial.

Music included in Final Cut Pro for the win, think it was called progressive house, but I slowed it down by 50% 😂

    Great work as usual.
You need a “story” for the 3 trucks being escorted by the Stuart.
Must be something important in the trucks; high ranking German prisoners, the Brits found the real Ark from Raiders of the Lost Ark or even recovered German battle plans for the upcoming El Alamein battle!

      Love it 😂
Sadly they’re just the empty transports for my army that I haven’t finished painting yet.
…but your story is way better.

I haven't worked with pigments before. You don't put anything over them like a matte sealer, right? How do they hold up under regular use (people picking up the pieces, moving them around, etc.) during games? Does that stuff get brushed off of the model through use? Now that the interrogation is over, excellent work. I always start out watching your videos thinking "Oh, I think I could do that," and end up thinking "No, son, no you can't." 🙂

You absolutely could do it, I’m going to be doing a series of short videos where I talk about how I use certain effects for weathering and basing, much of it is very easy. I’ve got quite a few planned in, they will just come out now and again over time as I get around to it.
To answer your question. Yes you can semi-fix pigments, some ways with better results than others, I just choose not to where I can.
I find that when I’m applying it to surfaces where there is loads of detail and rough texture, if you really brush it in, it really stays in place. Now if you rubbed your finger on it hard some may come off, but I don’t find that an issue on models bases or on the bottom of things like those tree stands.
Anywhere is goes in the crevasses it works well, if it’s an area you’re likely to handle loads then I may leave it or fix it.
To fix it the best way is specialist fixing solution through the airbrush, but I’ve not found one yet that doesn’t dull the effect somewhat. If you were to use a rattle can matte varnish it kills the effect totally.
Dust washes and enamel washes can create a similar effect and can be sealed much easier, so I often use them in tandem, but I can’t rest just brushing on pigments dry as well, I use them in most thinks I do.
