I adore James Turner’s art, especially in Pokemon SwSh. I’ve been sold on this game since it was first announced, super excited to finaly play it!
Obviously it is impossible to know this because I haven’t played the game yet, but I feel like this might be an all time desert island game for me. It’s checking all the boxes. This is what I dreamed games could be ever since I was a kid playing my NES in my living room. This is going to be very special. I cannot wait.

I forget if you mentioned this in the preview - but was the Switch version played (or was it like, the PC/PS version)?
If it was the Switch version - any noticeable framerate drops/slowdown, that kind of thing? (Asking mainly because it looks so incredible, so would hope it gets to shine!)

James did not work at The Pokémon Company, but Game Freak (and Genius Sonority before that, and was thus part of Pokémon Colosseum, XD: Gale of Darkness and Battle Revolution)! =D

This reminds me of Good-Feel’s style of games, a bit like Yoshi’s Crafted World when it goes 3D

I hate it when games are announced and you can't wish list them, then years later when they come out you've forgotten about them or if it was "that game" you were so excited about when it was first announced but dumb Nintendo didn't let you wish list it...

I've been looking forward to this game since the moment I saw it. It just looks charming, creative and just a ton of fun. My backlog is enormous so I try to get as little games as possible these days, but this is one I'll make an exception for.

This is the first I've seen of it, but definitely a game I will be picking up. I love the twist on the Zelda formula, reminds me of games like Tunic and Hyper Light Drifter.

I really hope Nintendo shows this prominently in a future Nintendo Direct, even if the game is already out. Unless the game is somehow much worse than it appears, which I think is unlikely, I really hope it gets in front of many many eyes. I can't wait to play this.

I'm skeptical of anything coming from Devolver. None of their games ever seem to actually release other than through limited run. If I see this in a store I might buy it but I doubt it will ever get an actual release.

Hello Zion Grassi you're my new favourite Nintendo Life presenter just because you have a long beautiful brunet hairs and bread just like I have, I would LOVE to see you more in these videos. About of The Plucky Squire game I really LOVE how it looks beautiful and colorful with amazing looking art style and between of the Story book and a real world like someone's room and that character's design looks almost like The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening Remake on Nintendo Switch or Swords of Ditto what I've played on PS4 in my childhood and that world looks like A Hat in Time, I will defienitily buy and play The Plucky Squire on Nintendo Switch and would LOVE to see a Physical edition, but i'm sure this will be only a digital because it's 2024 when almost every and too many games are only a digital even on consoles like Nintendo Switch and PS5. We only need a relase date for this game! That video was good thank you Nintendo Life and have a great Mid-Summer/Mid-Year Celebration Weekend everyone! 😊❤

Day One buy. C’mon.
First of all, I love the game and want to buy it as a disc version. ...but then I see that this game will only be available on various platforms in February 2025, while the digital version will be available in September. If the disc release date is correct, why isn't it possible to release both versions at the same time or in frequent intervals? ...I am very disappointed and upset that players who don't want a digital version are being disadvantaged. ...so I will definitely not buy this game and will watch the complete gameplay on UA-cam!
