Do you think I could take AP physics C mechanics and E&M without taking AP physics 1? I’m not really sure how much base physics knowledge I need to have to be able to take physics C.
@ I would take AP calculus BC at the same time as APPC my senior year. I’m signing up for my classes for junior year and am trying to figure out if I should take physics 1 or not.
@ I taught APPC for 26 years. Most of my students took it concurrently with Calc BC having never taken physics before and they did fine. I would definitely talk to your future physics teacher. APPC is very demanding, but it’s great preparation for what you’ll face in college if you’re planning on studying engineering. Nothing wrong with taking APP1 first, but most of my students took AP Chemistry their junior year.

Yes, it mainly depends on math. APPC is introductory, but it uses calculus. Have you studied calculus?

@ ok I was planning on taking ap chem junior instead of physics 1 but just didn’t know if I could then take APPC senior year. Thanks for the help.
@ when you take APPC, keep me in mind as a tutor. I can save you a lot of time and stress.
