Do you twist the two strands and then twist them together or do you just twist it

How do you avoid hair sticking out? I have 3b-3c type hair and when I do mine there’s always pieces of hair that sticks out from the twists and it’s very aggravating

Use a good gel that slicks/ weighs your hair down a little! Shine and jam has a pretty good hold
