I’ve always heard the addition of flaked wheat is to soften the mouthfeel. Particularly important for the haze.

I've experimented with lots of high-ABV beers. And I've found that the Goose Island ones are well made, but I just can't handle them. I'd buy this to try only with several friends, so we could each take a small sample to kill the bottle.
