I've always built my starter base at the North Eastern part of H4 (green area), there's Iron & Coal, Birds/nests & Spiders. There's also a brimstone mine with crocks inside. (These things can be found in H4's North Eastern part going into H5 & I4.) To the south of the river is a crystal cave (I don't recall the exact location though..). Can't forget the named fighter thrall to the east in I4's western part (They'll have about 650HP once converted, not the best but a decent starter thrall to aid you in combat)
Granny, another good spot is in G4. North of the pond with the giant gator, towards the left is a giant tree. Right there is pretty good. You have access to the pond for water, a good amount of basic resources, iron ore up along the cliffs and the north side of Noob River, and it's close to Sinner's Refuge, which has brimstone and spawns a high number of named thralls. You're also relatively close to The Summoning Place with everything it has and the surrounding area which has silk, coal, and more iron in abundance.
That is my favorite spot to start. Directly north is coal and to the north east towards the world spider is some brinstone out in the open. Take care with npc aggro and stone pups.
@@KevinPlayingGames Yes there is, scarce though. You have to go up the hill quite a ways beyond the enemy camp next to you. A tip for you...dry wood burns just as long as coal and you can make it by putting wood in the dryer rack. The by product is resin and dry wood. 🙂
@@GrannyGamester Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely use that, although, to be honest, the reason I was looking for the coal was because there's a step in the Blacksmith Journey that requires your to "harvest coal".
I'm just starting this game and it's pretty confusing. I've wiped out the NPCs at the iron site you showed, and I got some sweet weapons from them, but I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to be doing? Are there quests? Do I just go around and kill everyone and everything? I'm reading the wikis etc but it's not really clicking what I'm supposed to be doing.
The object of the game is to leave the Exile Lands. You do that by collecting 6 artifacts from 6 different dungeons and bringing them to the Chaos Mouth and receiving the Keystone which lets you remove your bracelet. As you go along in the game you get better weapons and armor in order to complete the dungeons. Hope this helps🥰
Hi GG great tips! That’s were I mostly build when I start anew!
Thanks Cindy and I think a lot of seasoned players do.

It is a really great spot too! Anywhere in that vicinity is good.

That is another great spot but I would say for a new beginner player it might be a little tough. Those Hyenas are relentless! LOL thanks for the info!

Thanks for the added info!
Thanks GG! Helped a lot since I’m new to playing Conan Exiles on PC!
Glad you found it helpful and glad to see you enjoying Conan. If you ever have any questions feel free to ask. The game changes with each Chapter.
Thanks, this a great area for building. I just got here in a new game and I'm about to start making my home on this island.
It is a great spot and have fun! Have fun! 😊
@@GrannyGamester Is there any coal in this area?

Love ya GG good videos as always
Thanks Burnntoast! Glad you liked it. 🥰
There is a world boss close to that spot and another t4 thrall spawn close by. I always fence them in so the croc can't kill them
Just another reason to make it a great spot to make your first build.
School's in with Granny G!
Wonder what the next lesson will be 😂

Ty!
@@GrannyGamester Yes very much thank you!
My starting point but I build inthe water. Pillars then a floor and your away.
I bet that build was great! It is a beautiful spot with many possibilities.
