Wasn’t expecting to see the Chisel FS on here but just picked up that Comp version for all the reasons you listed. Also, your b roll for these bikes makes me miss living in Gunnison/CB in the mid 90’s. Over due for a visit
It’s frustrating to see no affordable bikes here. These hipster brands and Gucci hand made bikes are all well and good, but most of us will buy a Marin, Genesis or Sonder in the UK.
In fairness this is a 'best of' award so it's logical that the list is mostly higher end bikes. Perhaps next time they can include a best value category, but the Chisel would have won that award anyways.
I was not trying to choose a best value bike. Just trying to show the op that not all the bikes were expensive high end bikes and that the Chisel was a good example of a moderate bike for moderate money.
The best bike-packing bike is one you actually take bike-packing. Be it a Walmart bike, a Brompton, or a top-of-the-line tour-divide-ready steed. Just saddle up and get out there.
you should try a propain terrel! its supposed to be nearly a drop bar mtb but could be a great budget contender since the base model is only 2.5k fully built
Damn bro had me waiting like a couple weeks for this, I stopped waiting and bought my Fargo last night instead 😂
Great bike!

Really? I’d disagree- the stooge frame set is totally affordable-the Chisel isn’t really high end either…
Just buy a surly

Love my Fairlight Secan 2.0. That 3.0 surely has gotten my attention
Nice bikes... I'm getting my very own Clandestine custom early in the new year, exciting!
I thought you would put ghost grappler in the group ,but I suppose its not that ultimate as the bridge club
It was already tested and made our 2022 list. ua-cam.com/video/52nmtbXdifE/v-deo.htmlsi=92hSCmkNQqPpvdB4
@BIKEPACKINGcom ahh, thats great. Thank you. A Surly in some form is on my wishlist, just a hard choice to pick the right.
@@gurkpojkenkarate Monkey in Mint Green looks so nice as well as a Krampus.
@@JuanMendoza-yk8nv its a hard thing to choose

That is why I love them; Cost Effective natural landscape travels :) ( for those who love to be out and about in nature).
Test the Cinelli Hobootleg Geo- they have a new paint job for it, camo fork, looks great.
BIKES!!!
Damn I'm still waiting for that Dualist, it'd be a perfect replacement for my Marin DSX ... Too bad it's so late ...
I'd like to see Jeff Jones to an aluminum version of his 29 plus with a steel or titanium truss fork. maybe even a carbon fork.
I’m surprised the priority Gemini didn’t make the cut
The Lorax is so nice…..
…. But but but where is MY bike?!
What about jamis sequel ?
