Welcome everyone to my new Let's Play series here on the beautiful map Riverbend Springs!
Today in episode three, I want to place down the farms first production, and in order to do that I need a bit more money! So I've taken on a couple more contracts! Weed spraying in a cotton field and a canola harvest. Join me as I farm into the evening when hopefully, when we're all done, the farm will have it's first source for an income stream! Let's get to it!

the reason most of us watch is we want to see you farm, harvest, plow, bale, fertilize all of it, if people get bored then they dont really know farming, I'm 70 now and spent most my life on a farm, it all fascinates me
Yeh I do appreciate what you're saying mate, I think from a content creators perspective I feel I have to be mindful of doing the same thing over and over, and make sure I create varied content from episode to episode. Likewise though mate, I could happily do the same thing over and over, it all fascinates me too! :)

For the green houses I would suggest a nice hack to collect water. If you create a small rice field in your farm you can fill the water tank for FREE every time. Once the tank is full just empty the rice field and will not cost you anything. This saves you to travel to the river all the time 😊

Hello mate! Aah that's a good hack! Myself and Mrs SG have some rice fields over on Hutan Pantai and that thought had crossed my mind about wether we can drag the water out the field! Great to know it works! Appreciate that mate! :)
@@Farmer-Sim Thanks for the reply! I created a mini rice field next to a Greenhouse and works like a treat. First I do is reverse the water tank to the field and start the pump to fill the field then start pumping water into the tank. Once is completed you can empty the field of rice and start the process again. Also i did tried collecting water from the rice filed once is filled and works too! So Win/Win 😊
Yes the collectables blend in really well and are a variety of different things. No more brightly colored toys.
No kidding right? I had to go back and watch my footage to figure out what had vanished off the table! Definitely better than the bright wooden toys though, they blend in much better this way :)

I seem to reminder seeing in another video , you have to “collect” the cancelled contract and then the field will move on
Oooh is that what I've done wrong? Right ok, appreciate the heads up mate. I might've mucked things up there so I may have to manually reset the field in the hope that will remove the straw. Thanks for comment buddy appreciate it! :)

Hey Simon! Yeh the only option I had was to cancel the contract, and I'd have assumed that would've reset the field too. But no. It didn't! :)

LOL. I had no idea you could help yourself to the stream water. It does make sense, though. I've been annoyed that I have to pay for the water from the well on my starter farm. I think I'll see if I can nip that in the bud!
Haha well until the Riverbend township complain to me for stealing the river water, I shall carry on dunking my tank in there haha! :)

@@OLDDREW Yeah, no super-strength to pull the tractor and/or trailer out. I'll have to be sure to do a save the first time I try.
great episode , been following you since court farm :) just wanted to add my vote to the topic you mention of the collectibles , i know you said once you got them then its done etc but for $10,000 for each one and considering its free money and not earnt the total of $250,000 can really make a massive difference to a save at the beginning and in my view it ruins the enjoyment of earning the money for yourself.

Yeh I do understand both sides of the vote regarding the collectibles. If I was creating a fully realistic role play/survival series then the collectibles are definitely a no-go. And yes 250k could be spent frivolously too, potentially spoiling the nature of a series, but it could also be spent ‘wisely’ so as not to gain huge progress very quickly. If I do go for them all, that’s the direction I’ll be heading anyway, to make sure I don’t suddenly have a massive advantage and loads of shiny new equipment! :)

Hello mate! Yes I believe so, unfortunately because I had meddled with the xml file that option wasn’t available to me anymore, but I have sorted it now, with more meddling haha :)
There is an closer point to get free water go south of your farm on the east road

Hey Simon! Yes I believe they do! I'd be very surprised if we didn't get an achievement for collecting them all! A Contractor series? I hadn't thought about doing one of those really? I have to ask though, as it wouldn't be the first time this has happened....but are you getting me mixed up with my good pal The Farm Sim Guy? He had a very popular and succesful Contractor series back on FS22 on a handful of maps :)
For some variety why didn't you choose the mushroom green house? They are a great source of income. And also did you know when you sell that the farmers market your products display inside
Hello mate! Honestly I have no answer for that ha! I've been running on empty these last few days and as a result I've made a few silly errors and not taken in important details when recording the last couple of videos! If mushrooms are better value than lettuces I'll check them out and consider swapping the greenhouse over! And of course, give you a shout-out at the same time mate! And no I hadn't appreciated the products display in the Farmers Market! I'll be sure to check that out too! Really appreciate the comment buddy! :)

Aah excellent mate! I’m assuming the 55inch TV has a 60hz refresh rate? Matching the refresh rate to the fps makes it sooo buttery smooth doesn’t it! Nice work mate! :)
@Farmer-Sim it's not as smooth as 1440 on it tho since it's 8 yrs old now lmao

@@OLDDREW hey Drew! Initially no I hadn’t done that prior to going into the xml and meddling about, causing the straw to remain in the field. But I’ve fixed it now. I went back into the xml, changed another harvest contract to be a wheat harvest in field 77, back into the game, accept that contract, then cancel it AND collect it, boom! Straw swaths gone! :)
I wonder how long before the Precision Farming mod is available.

where did you decide to build your farm ? im looking for good areas to build mine and its not easy to pick the best spot but i like the lay out of your farm.
Hey cricks! I created my farm on an existing plot over to the east side of the map, there's a farm setup there by default but I changed a few things on it for my farm. Forgive me I'm not in front of the game at the minute so I can't recall which plot number it is, but it's just north of the old run down museum/grain elevator :)
Pleasant episode ! Are you using any developer controls to be able to hide the hud and fly free? Haven't found any mods for this just yet
Hello mate! Glad you enjoyed the video! Yes I'm using the developer console to enable a few QOL hacks for now, helps with the cinematics mainly! To enable it, it's not a mod, you do that in the xml file on your PC. In your My Games/Farming Simulator 25 folder you'll find your game.xml file. Simply open that up with notepad, scroll to the bottom and you'll see a line of code under the heading that reads false Simply change the word false to true and save the file as it is, reload the game and when you're back in press the tilde key ¬ (the one under the escape key) to bring up the dev console. Press it once to display it, press it again to be able to type in commands. As you start to type in a word eg flight it will auto-display the commands that relate to that word. Type in the command you're looking for and follow it with a space and then the word true or false (for flight mode anyway) and off ya go! :)
