*_'Bravo!'_* - well done, young man! I think even Neil himself would be admirably astonished at this [70s-era] lookalike's performance. As a former drummer myself, I - struggling with many of Rush's [ever-]challenging progressive hits - would never be able to quite capture any one of Peart's rhythmically-demanding scores, no matter how much time I gave to any of them ... So hat's off to this 'double take's exemplary performance of (as perhaps how Neil himself would put it:) 'subdivided norms', literally - and flawlessly - piecing themselves towards a harmonious unification into Ayn Rand's visionary quest for mankind's egalitarian fancied ideals ... Neil would be proud of you!
Holy shit! It's 70's Peart playing 80's Rush! The video autoplayed on me, I just glanced at the screen, and my brain went, "Wait, WTF?" Awesome skills and esthetic.
Thanks! It's basically Neil's kit from the Test for Echo and Vapor Trails years. I have a couple more toms sitting in cases that I don't use. I was told by the shop that Neil ordered two kits and kept the one he liked best and that this was the other one. I'm pretty sure that was a line to sell me the kit, but it's great nonetheless so I'm not bothered by the story.
Thanks! It actually needs a lot more foam. The room is not very tall and it needs quite a bit more work to deliver top quality acoustics. My last room had a tall and angled ceiling and it created a wonderful sound without so much treatment.
Hold this like good Sir! You did The Professor proud!!!
Amazing, Dan. Neil WOULD be proud!!!!!!
Wow that was awesome you made it look easy great job my dude
Impressive. I always enjoy a great Rush cover when the drummer is playing a pretty minimalistic kit and can still nail the fills. Great job.
That was cool man, finally somebody knows how to play the hi hat, if anybody knows the song I do you did not miss a Beat rock on

Wow. I agree (with others here) that you do make it look easy. And we all know that “Subdivisions” is not easy.
Great work. Please keep it up!

Don't think my initial comment really expressed how well- executed this effort was ..
Nice articulation of power with minimal movement and effort.
Truly a clinic performance.
Peart sets the standard and this is well done with about a quarter of the hardware! Great work! 👍🏻
Thank you! Time to quadruple the hardware!
