And even though XiaXue spreaded the seaweed out to the exactly right size to wrap the rice...you're actually suppose to cut the seaweed in half to make two, and there's a scale on the plastic wrapper for you to mould to rice and the seaweed

I tried them, the rice tasted like gummy mousse, and the egg/fish tasted like Japanese agar.The roe will actually burst like real salmon roe, but you can't really taste the flavour. The seaweed is chewy grape candy and tasted the best!!!

Just came back from Japan. Most shops I saw in Tokyo (Don Quijote) were selling this for 250-300 yen, about 3 SGD-3.50SGD. Those box shops are selling it for a mark-up price of 10SGD, more than double (or triple) the price. Really ex.
Yea... I was of course expecting GST and such but it really shock me when I saw it was around 4 times the mark up price, if you take into consideration the currency conversion. I actually bought 4 of these at the equivalent of a box in SG. Super glad I did.
